We are delighted to be able to offer a range of opportunities to work within our Edge Hill University Partnership during the 2019-2020 academic year. These range from offering placements for our programmes through to accessing the growing range of CPD routes we have available for new and continuing practitioners.

This booklet provides you with an overview of all of the programmes we deliver where we work collaboratively with our partners through placements. If you have capacity to do this, we would welcome your involvement in the training and development of our next generation of teachers. You can offer these placements either:

- Through our online portal edgehill.ac.uk/education/placement-request2019- By tearing out the nominated section in this booklet and using the enclosed prepaid envelope

to return to us

Additional opportunities Beyond placements, there are a range of other opportunities for involvement which many of our partners choose to engage with. These include (but are not limited to):

- Mentor training – this can be online, face to face on campus or a bespoke session for your schoolor cluster of schools

- Taster days on campus for your children with a focus on aspiration raising and life at university- Confucius Institute activities on campus or at school relating to Chinese culture, such as a

'China Day' experience delivered at school or Mandarin language programmes- Access to our range of Continuing Professional Development opportunities ranging from short courses through to full academic qualifications - Involvement in our student interview process- Involvement in our DBS panels

Additional opportunities emerge throughout the year and if there is a particular activity you would like to become involved with or if you have any suggestions, please do get in touch with us.

Thank you We would like to thank you for your ongoing commitment to the Edge Hill University Partnership and to developing our next generation of education professionals. We look forward to working with you in the next academic year.

PGCE Early Years Education with QTS

The Faculty have provided the school several outstanding trainee teachers who have come

to us on placement. We learn as much from them, as they do from us. We have been that impressed by the standard of students, that we have recruited several to various posts within the school. I would say that at least 80% of my teaching staff are ex- Edge Hill students.
