Earning

Earn we all do, some money, some hardships, some comforts....... But we talk only about earning money! Every action begets an earning, sometimes money, comforts; sometimes hardships, sufferings; sometimes blessings and other times curses. What we had earned, leads to what we can earn in future. Earning capacity is based on our habits, attitudes and sometimes what parents and or grandparents had earned and left. We earn not only through work, but also through wise thoughts, the wisdom. Every one can earn money, but wisdom? The quantum of enjoyment or suffering depends on the quantum of earnings and savings. One constantly spends a part of our earnings, save the rest and invest elsewhere, leaving a part for the future. One can be spendthrift or prudent. Those who are not spendthrift, enjoy the blessings earned. But one can also earn curses; and those who spend their curse worthy karmas, by virtue of other earnings - the blessings suffer less. So earn wisdom? Is it also bequeathed to us? I do not really know. May be because I have not inherited that capacity.Rakesh Mohan Hallen
