Make Image
Request
Click on an orbit.We can use. #Orbit???
Changes daily. I’ll post each day.
1. Click on a location near the red lines. Remember that this is daytime.
2. Look at the Distance From Groundtrack. You want to be 50 miles or less away.
3. Write down all of the Image Request Info. Make sure you know the location. You may need to check another map with places that are labeled.
4. Use the Weather tab and check the weather.
5. Remember that if you zoom in too much you may be thousands of miles away from the camera track.
Click on Request Image
• Once you hit request image this
box will appear.
• Type in one of your
passcodes into the codeword box.
• No spaces and
no capitals.
• Now fill in the image request information with all the facts you wrote down.
• Be careful to not write a letter of direction in the longitude and latitude boxes. Just click on the direction.
• Make sure to use slashes and colons with the GMT. (Greenwich Mean Time.
• Where it says reason and description remember to write the “Distance from Groundtrack” and your thoughts about why you wanted a picture of that place.
• Then click submit.
