Part 66 Cat. B1.1 Licence – Self StudyFlybe Training Academy offers a self-study EASA Part 66 CAT B1.1 Licence which permits Licensed Engineers to issue certifications of release to service following maintenance, including aircraft structure, power plants and mechanical and electrical systems.

To qualify for you Part 66 Cat. B1.1 Licence you must pass all module exams and assignments with a 75% pass rate.

You must complete all of the exams and assignments within a 10 year time frame. Part 66 Cat. B1.1 - Module Notes To obtain the licence you will need to study a number of modules. The notes for these modules can be purchased from Flybe Training Academy.

For each module you will need to take a multiple choice exam. Modules marked with a * indicates that you will also be required to sit a written essay exam.

Part 66 Cat. B1.1 - Module Exams Module exams for the Part 66 B1.1 Licence take place at the Flybe Training Academy, Exeter International Airport, on the last Friday of every month.

Flybe Training Academy offers a

self study EASA Part 66 CAT B1.1 Licence which

permits Licensed Engineers to issue certifications of

release to service following maintenance.

The exams starts at 10am promptly, so please arrive at least 10-15 minutes early and report to reception. Once the exam has started, we will be unable to allow anyone in to the classroom, so please ensure you arrive at the time stated.

You can sit several exam modules on the same day. However, be aware that you are not allowed to leave the classroom or take a break during the examination.

Exams can be cancelled and the fees reimbursed or transferred to another date up to a week before the exam.

Any cancellation with less than 7 days notice will result in the loss of the exam fee.

Please note: Modules 7, 9 and 10 are in two parts, essay and exam. These are charged as two separate exams.

Module Exam and Assignment Fees: Exam fee is £45.00 per exam (multiple choice and essay).

Postage and Packing for Module Notes is charged at £4.00 per set of notes.

Please note a £5.00 charge will be added to the total amount if paying by credit or debit card. Exam Results and Certifications To pass each module exam and essay (where required) you will need to achieve a 75% pass rate.

Normally, you will be notified of your exam/essay results within 10 working days and a certificate will be issued soon after.

• Exams must be requested and paid for at the time of application and at least 4 weeks on advance of the date.

• Flybe Training Academy will not refund any fees if cancelled less than 1 week (5 working days) before date of exam.

• Failed modular examimations taken at any training/examination centre cannot be retaken with 90 days of the original

exam date.

• Please note: Whilst Flybe Training Academy can advise, it is however the responsibility of the individual to ensure that they

are sitting the correct examination.

• Examinations paid for by credit/debit card will incur an additional cost of £5.00 per card transaction.
