from mixing African and Arabic ways.

Most people living in East Africa are Swahili.

Nearly 2,000 years ago, Arab traders settled on the coast of East Africa.

People who followed the African culture took to the Arab Culture

Languages Their language is a Bantu language that has

many Arabic words

Although children in schools are educated in Swahili, they learn English as well

East Africa has many ethnic groups who speak different languages.

It is not strange for people in a region to know more than three or more languages.
