journey to fulfill your own purpose and
potential”
You, the Class of 2020, most definitely are an extraordinary group of women and men! You not only met the challenges of earning your high school diploma, but you went above and beyond to meet the extra challenges of covid-19 and the protest for justice, equality, and humanity. And in spite of all this... YOU DID IT! You were able to accomplish your goal and earn your high school diploma. You silenced all those naysayers in gran fashion and you deserve SO much recognition. Please know how proud we are of your accomplishment. This experience shows us how strong and resilient you are... take this experience and use it to remind you of what you can accomplish. Now you know that ALL is possible for you! Congratulations Class of 2020... si se pudo!
Thank you,Tony Manriquez

Dear ESL Graduates and Completers,
We admire each and every one of you for demonstrating that something so uncertain and scary as Covid-19 would not prove to be an obstacle in your educational journey. You are resilient, determined and dedicated. You have showed all of us that the passion in your heart is far more powerful than a virus; far more powerful than technology; far more powerful than anything that would try to stand in your way. We are inspired by you daily, and we thank you for allowing us the opportunity to be in your life and help you reach your goals. This is not the end. The world aches for people like you, and we know that you will continue to achieve anything you set out to do. Enjoy this moment and be filled with pride. You did it!!!

The graduating class of 2020 is a most special one that the world will never forget for all of the sacrifice you have made to help save people's lives. I want to express my sincere gratitude for that. Also, I want to say that if you accomplished this goal in these trying and turbulent times, then you can accomplish anything! “An education is the best heritage we can leave our children”
Saray Alcarazs’ quote from her parentsAcademic Instructor
"For all of you who were able to work from home, be your children's teacher, be the head of a household, or just continue with your daily responsibilities during a pandemic and STILL complete your classes to achieve your educational goals, I applaud you as I know that nothing will ever stop you from achieving your dreams!“

My plans after graduation are to get into Seoul University in Korea, and just do my best to start my year in the best way possible and as always study really hard to make my family and myself proud, and make my dreams become a reality.
"Don't take yourself to serious, be patient and persevere on your hard work, eventually, you'll get there."
"Thank you for letting me be part of your journey. Your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed, and now everyone gets to witness it! Make sure you make time to keep on learning, that is best thing you can do for yourself.“
-Guillermo RinconAcademic Instructor
Congratulations, you did it!In these tough times, instead of worrying about what you could not control, you shifted your energy and did what was needed to create something positive in your life. You persevered and finished. Remember stay focused on the positive and everything will work out in the end, you just have to trust that it will.

Graduates,
In the best of times, managing the responsibilities of being an adult and going to school is quite an accomplishment -- the vast majority do not choose to add on a huge extra layer of time-consuming study on top of jobs, family and the array of daily surprises that require our immediate attention. It's awesome that you decided to take this step. What's even more awesome is that you kept on keeping on when this unsettling pandemic came out of nowhere and threw the world in chaos. Many of even the most optimistic people would have thrown in the towel, telling themselves that they'll tackle school after things return to normal. You didn't do that -- WOW! You knew the importance of your education, and you rose to this enormous unprecedented challenge. The respect I have for you is tremendous. You are the new role models for the world. With this attitude and drive, you will surely prosper. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Its nice to be important but always important to be nice.
Go out and do great things. And in between doing great
things do all the small things in a great way.

Graduates and completers,
Life is a series of compromises, and you’ll remember the 2020 school year not by the events that happened, but by how you sacrificed and persevered through adversity. Take what you have learned and continue to expand your horizons onward and upward.
