Danny, a participant in the Be Well! Health and Wellness Workshop, has diligently begun eating healthy foods, drinking water, and working out.

He has lost weight and changed his body composition by adding muscle while lowering body fat.

Danny is happily embracing a healthy lifestyle and is eager to continue participating in the program.

Jennifer participates in every lesson and is eager to learn

how to live a healthier lifestyle.

The Be Well! Health and Wellness Program utilizes an electronic health kiosk where participants like Jennifer log

on confidentially to complete health quizzes and monitor

Camping Recreation

The important benefits of meaningful recreation

• promotes relationship building

• builds confidence by conquering fears

• provides opportunities for self-determination

• group participation breaks down barriers of unfamiliarity and promotes acceptance and tolerance

• reduces disability-related health complications

Easter Seals provides recreational events and activities for people who

wouldn’t otherwise be able to enjoy the things most of us take for granted -

shopping with friends, a holiday luncheon, or a trip to the local movie theatre.

For many, their disabilities simply prevent them from enjoying most forms of community inclusion, which is a core component in helping people obtain the best quality of life possible.

Recreational get-aways also provide much-needed respite for family caregivers.
