UNCHANGING JESUS
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Hebrews 13:8
WE HAVE AN UNCHANGING GOD IN A RAPIDLY CHANGING WORLD
1) THE UNCHANGING PERSON OF JESUS CHRIST
“This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same
way you have seen him go into heaven."
Acts 1:11
36 “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you
crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”
Acts 2:36
THE GOOD NEWS FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN THE RESURRECTION IS THAT YOU WILL NOT CEASE TO BE YOU AFTER YOU DIE. WITH A GLORIFIED BODY YOU WILL ONE
DAY BE YOUR BEST YOU!
39 Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have
flesh and bones, as you see I have.” 40 When he had said this, he showed them his hands
and feet.
Luke 24:39-40
“Do you have anything here to eat?” 42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 and he took
it and ate it in their presence.
Luke 24:41-43
“Who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Revelation 1:8
15 The Son is the image of the invisible God.
Colossians 1:15
2) THE UNCHANGING POWER OF JESUS CHRIST
11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives
in you.
Romans 8:11
That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the
heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every
name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
Ephesians 1:19-21
OUR SPIRITUAL SICKNESS CAN BE OVERCOME
ROMANS 8:11 SPECIFICALLY TALKS ABOUT THIS SAME SPIRIT
EPHESIANS 1:19-21 SPECIFICALLY TALKS ABOUT THIS SAME SPIRIT AS
A “DYNAMITE” POWER
AUTOMATIC EXTERNAL DEFRIBILLATOR
3) THE UNCHANGING PROMISES OF JESUS CHRIST
17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear
to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. 18 God did this so
that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie,
Hebrews 6:17-20
we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. 19 We
have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary
behind the curtain, 20 where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf.
Hebrews 6:17-20
20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the
“Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.
2 Corinthians 1:20
WHAT GOD PROMISED, HE ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH JESUS. WHEN GOD MAKES UP HIS
MIND, HE DOES NOT CHANGE HIS MIND.
TWO UNCHANGABLE THINGS:
1) GOD MADE AN OATH 2) GOD DOES NOT LIE
‘“AMEN” FUNCTIONED AS A POSITIVE AFFIRMATION AT THE END OF A PRAYER, AND CHRIST BECAME THE
“AMEN” AND “YES” TO ALL THE BIBLICAL PROMISES OF A TRULY FAITHFUL GOD.’

12 “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to [humankind] by
which we must be saved."
Acts 4:12
THERE ARE PEOPLE LISTENING TODAY WHO ARE ON SPIRITUAL LIFE-SUPPORT
