Kohima

Kisama Heritage Village serves as the “Window to Nagaland” as it offers a peek into the life and culture of the State in one single platform. Host to the famous Hornbill festival which is celebrated from December 1-10 every year, a visitor to this festival solely gets a grandstand of the richness and uniqueness of Naga Heritage, its people, culture and tradition. The festival has slowly evolved to be a show-case of the rich culture of the entire Northeast India and a cultural bridge with the rest of Southeast Asia.
Dzüleke
Dzüleke, an offshoot village of Khonoma, offers an ideal get away from the tensions and rat race of the urban life. Rich in flora and fauna, breathtaking scenic beauty, stunning view of rhododendron with the stream that cuts through the terrain provides habitat to a rare species of Rainbow Trout. The Dzüleke Ecotourism Board (DETB) offers homestay facilities where you will get first hard experience of Naga hospitality, cuisine and culture. Visitors can also trek and avail camping services etc., on offer by DETB. The Dzüleke ecotourism initiative is a community led and managed enterprise being facilitated by the North East Initiative Development Agency. All revenues from tourism activities will directly go to the service providers in the village. Dzüleke is suitable for nature lovers, botanists, trekkers, explorers, butterfly identifiers and bird watchers.
