The Fish Wall!

The legendary fish wall will continue next year. Over

the past year there have been a number of proud

students bring in photos of their catch from past fish-

ing trips. With the summer holidays coming up I am

sure some of you have trips planned that may in-

volve fishing. Please remember to take a picture of

your children with their fish, this is the hardest part. I

am happy for you to email the photo to me with the

subject line being ‘Fish Wall Photo’.

[email protected]

I look forward to seeing the photos that come in from over the summer holidays.

Jack and the Beanstalk The students in year Prep Bunworth have planted climbing beans. They have made a giant’s castle for the top of a beanstalk. So if you walk past the classroom and hear…..Fe Fi Fo Fum…. Watch out for the giant!

Prep - 2 Excursion to Werribee Open Range Zoo.

On Thursday 28th November, 76 of our students and 11 adults travelled to the Werribee

Open Range Zoo for the day. We took part in many activities throughout the day, which

included an educational workshop about Habitat Heroes. The highlight was definitely

the safari, getting up close and personal with a number of African animals such as

giraffes, zebras, eland and rhinoceros. It was a jam-packed day full of animals and fun

and the students enjoyed the whole learning experience. Thank you to the parents

who took time out of their busy schedule to help with the excursion.

2019 Beaufort Primary School Swimming Carnival

What a fantastic day we had at our swimming carnival yesterday. With the temperature gauge rapidly making its way

to 35 degrees, we certainly had the weather gods shining down on us…finally! I’d like to personally thank all the par-

ents and staff who chipped in wherever needed to help this day run as smoothly as possible. We have a great team

here at BPS. There were so personal achievements reached by students throughout the day, from having the confi-

dence to get their hair wet, right up to racing in the 50 meter events. We are so proud of all who came along and did

their best.

In an unexpected twist to the day, with only 3 willing participants, the parents were unable to field a team for the

annual Parents, Teachers, Students relay and were a late scratching. Parents, we are not angry, we are just disap-

pointed! We hope to see you all pack your bathers next year to take the glory of the coveted kickboard shield back

from the teachers and students!

We were also extremely thankful to have the expertise of our Mark Stahl instructors on the day. They worked tireless-

ly as ‘pool runners’ in our 20 metre events, along with Miss Muller and Miss Ash. The rapport they built in just one

week with our students meant they were able to help them achieve their best in each event and build on positive

race experiences. The displays they put on in the pool were also something to experience. All national swimmers in

their own right, they even took us all on in the relay, only they had to swim twice as far each leg. We look forward to

having them all on board again next year.

Congratulations to our Red House winners!

1st Red House – 174 points

2nd Blue House – 172 points

3rd Gold House – 165 points

4th White House – 143 points
