    whAt is polyvore?

    introduction

Polyvore is a social image-sharing/shopping website

powered by a community of fashion enthusiasts.

Polyvore allows people to create online fashion collages

with images to discover brands, and interact with other

fashion and beauty lovers. These image collages are

    called sets.

Polyvore users take real products and create unique

digital collages using their own styling techniques.

Products are imported by users, not pulled from the

    internet by Polyvore.

Currently, Polyvore features only womens products, but

will cater to children and men in the near future.

Users can add products on Polyvore and have them link

back to the purchase page on a retailers website. Other

users can then click-through on the item in Polyvore to

    purchase on the retailers website.

In November 2012, Polyvore released the much-anticipated app for iPhones, iPads, and the iPod Touch.

Team up with other brands or retailers alike and present them with the idea of swapping sets or collections to increase your reach. Although make sure theyre not your direct competition. If youre a shoe retailer, perhaps think of swapping with a local handbag retailer.

When uploading products to Polyvore with the Clipper

Tool, consider uploading products with simple and/or solid backgrounds. White backgrounds tend to work best.
