TRANSCRIPT
Angels on assignment is a non profit organization located in Mount Vernon, IL. Their mission is to help the less fortunate through three branches of their organization a food bank, thrift store, and their heart to heart program. They have overgrown their current building and have plans to build a new facility on an adjacent parking lot.
The open hand is commonly known as the universal symbol for helping. AoA is a perfect example of an organization reacing out and lifting a city to its full potential.
The concept for the new facility was derived around the hand using the palm lines of life, heart, and health. These were the lines chosen to design around due to the core values of AoA. The lines of the building were laid out to represent an extension of the church into the community.
