Day 1 Depart for ItalyDay 2 Arrive in Amalfi Coast

Transfer to Vietri and spend the remainder of the dayat leisure. Later, enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel.

Day 3 Amalfi-PositanoFull-day excursion by boat (weather & schedule permitting) exploring the Amalfi Coast. Stop in Amalfi,which was once a seafaring Republic rivalling Genoa,Venice and Pisa. Visit Positano, the pearl of the AmalfiCoast. Dinner at a local restaurant tonight.

Day 4 SorrentoAfter breakfast, depart for Sorrento, a lovely resort situated on the Sorrento Peninsula. Admire the beautyof the old palaces and the Durazzo Portals, evidenceof the wealth of the many noble families living in thearea. Later we transfer to a local farmhouse overlook-ing the bay for a delightful lunch to taste regional cuisine.

Day 5 NaplesToday we visit Pompeii, Italy’s most famous and uniquearcheological site. Pompeii is now, a World Heritagesite. We will drive to Naples, the capital of the Campa-nia region. Enjoy a Pizza lunch in a typical pizzeria. Afterwards, visit the historical center of Naples. High-lights of the tour include Old Town, Posillipo, Piazza delPlebiscito, San Carlo Theatre, and its castles.

Day 6 Day at LeisureOptional Tour to Capri Available.

Day 7 PaestumVisit Paestum, where you’ll see its Greek temples, theimpressive and solemn churches and the splendidlypreserved walls, one of the most famous and importantarchaeological sites in Italy.Before visiting the excava-tions we will stop at an authentic Mozzerella cheesefactory for a demonstration and lunch.

Day 8 RavelloHalf-day excursion toRavello. A renownedmusical festival isheld in Ravello everyyear, with classicalmusic concerts takingplace in gardens withbreathtaking views.Visit Rufolo and the medieval cathedral. Spend the afternoon at leisure to relax at the hotel or for somelast minute shopping. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinnerin a local restaurant.

Tuscany

Day 1 Depart for ItalyDay 2 Arrive in Montecatini

Arrive in Italy, meet your guide and transfer to yourhotel in Montecatini. Enjoy a welcome aperitif withyour host Gianfranco and discuss the itinerary forthe week. The easy-going Italian way of life, La dolcevita, reflects the Italian custom of gathering friendsand family together for good wine, delicious food andgreat conversations. Tonight dinner is at the hotel.

Days 3-4 Cooking ClassesAfter breakfast, visit the chocolate laboratory of thedoyen of Tuscan chocolatiers, Andrea Slitti. Continueto a local olive press to follow all the different pro-duction stages of extra virgin olive oil and to tastethe newly pressed olive oil. Travel to a local farm-house, where your hands-on cooking class “fromfarm to table” begins. Gianfranco, along withDaniela, the owner of the farmhouse, will show howonly the finest and freshest ingredients are chosen.The meals will be prepared using the local productsof the farm and served with local wines. After yourcooking class and lunch, visit a pastry shop wherethe delicious Brigidini wafers are made…an absolute must! Dinner is at the hotel thisevening.Enjoy your second Tuscan “hands-on” cook-ing experience at the “Tenuta di Capezzana.” Lo-cated in the region of Carmignano, Capezzana estateis one of the au-thentic jewels ofthis region. Youwill visit the olivepress, the under-ground wine cellars and the

ancient "Vinsantaia" (holy wine cellar). Experiencewith Gianfranco the transformation of grapes into wineand taste local wines. The chef of the Contini-Bona-cossi family will assist participants in the prepara-tion of traditional recipes passed down throughgenerations. After your cooking class, lunch andlocal wine tasting, return to the hotel. Dinner is atthe hotel.

Day 5 San GimignanoFull-day tour of San Gimignano. Dinner is at thehotel.

Day 6 BuggianoEnjoy this morning at your leisure. In the afternoon,Gianfranco will take you to a local “Torrefazione” totaste a real true Italian espresso. Continue to theancient medieval village of Buggiano and enjoy apizza dinner in a local trattoria.

Day 6 Cooking ClassVisit a Tuscan bakery to taste typical Tuscan breadand focaccia. Continue to a local farmhouse for yourthird cooking experience. Continue to Volterra andenjoy the afternoon at leisure to explore this magnif-icent Etruscan town. Dinner this evening at thehotel.

Day 7 MontecatiniSpend this morning at your leisure exploring Monte-catini. In the afternoon enjoy a farewell aperitif followed by Cooking School graduation and dinner.

Day 8 Return HomeAfter breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight.
