With an aim to build on an expanding network of international partnerships,Victoria University is offering courses at Ganpat University in Ahmedabad, India.

HISTORY OF GANPAT UNIVERSITY HISTORY OF VICTORIA UNIVERSITY

Ganpat University (GNU) is a private state university created under Gujarat State Act on April 12, 2005, recognized under section 2(f) of UGC Act, and a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The University is located within the lush green, 300 acre campus of Ganpat Vidyanagar, which is situated near Kherva, 15 kilometres away from Mehsana, 52 kilometres from Gandhinagar and 72 kilometres from Ahmedabad.

Ahmedabad, the largest metropolitan region in Gujarat, was the fastest growing city in India and the third fastest growing city in the world in 2010 according to Forbes Magazine. The University is finding innovative ways to integrate the growth of the communitys work ethic into the student experience. There are two industry-focused Interface Centres, designed to enhance interaction with industry and academics.

Victoria University (VU) was founded in 1916 as Footscray Technical School and established as Victoria University in 1990. VU was established to serve the community, equipping its industrial workforce with practical, job-focused skills and knowledge.

Victoria University, and its predecessor institutions, has been providing education, research and training for over 90 years. Some of the Universitys key historical dates include:

Victoria University (VU) is proud to be delivering the internationally recognised Enterprise Resource Planning Systems program at Ganpat University, in partnership with the Education Centre of Australia (ECA) Global and the Centre for International Alliances School of International Studies (CIASIS).

Through a global education partnership, VU is the first Australian University to offer the Master of Business (Enterprise Resource Planning Systems) course in India.

Education is, was and never shall be held on or be bounded by boundaries. Ganpat University (GNU) has a strong reputation for teaching and in management, pharmaceuticals, computer science, engineering and education. The staff are involved in various research activities with prominent universities and institutes in India and abroad. GNU staff supervise many research projects from Masters to PhD level. 7Finding accommodation is quick, but applying for a work permit, taking care of household chores and adjusting to a new study and cultural environment can take some time. In the event that finding employment becomes difficult, we encourage students to bring enough funds to support themselves for the duration of their studies.

CIASIS has built state-of-the-art facilities using contemporary infrastructure planning practices and a modern approach to design. The campus is being carefully developed to meet our students' requirements and provide a safe learning environment.

The campus is well-equipped with advanced computer labs, a library, high-end projectors in classrooms, a cafeteria, and Wi-Fi facilities throughout the campus. All students will have free access to high speed internet.

CIASIS can recommend home-stay and hostel accommodation services.

HIGHER EDUCATION PROGRAMS

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are responsible for recording all business transactions within large companies. Professionals with the appropriate skill-set are employed to implement and maintain these types of systems. SAP, the market leader in ERP systems, formed a strategic partnership with Victoria University in 1998. This has enabled the University to incorporate SAP R/3 into its curriculum.

This Master of Business (Enterprise Resource Planning Systems) focuses on the implementation and use of ERP systems utilising SAP solutions. Its an internationally recognised qualification that will equip graduates with technical skills and management expertise, but also the competitive edge to meet the growing demands of the industry worldwide.

This course provides an information systems perspective to ERP systems. It has an emphasis on SAP R/3.

Graduates will have acquired the necessary computing and business skills to support the implementation and maintenance of ERP systems. They will also understand the strategic implications these systems have on a business.

Ganpat University, India offers a one-year full-time PGDERPS (Post Graduate Diploma in ERP Systems) and Victoria University, Australia offers a one-year full time Masters degree program Master of Business (Enterprise Resource Planning Systems) in India through a credit transfer system of Ganpat Universitys PGDERPS. Along with this, SAP Australia and Victoria University will also issue 10 separate certificates of achievement.

TRIMESTER START DATES

Any working professional or computer graduate from a recognised institute would qualify for admission into the course.

Entry into the program is open to applicants with a degree or diploma, preferably employed in or intending to be employed in a position associated with ERP and/or computer science applications. In the absence of formal academic qualifications, training and work experience would be also assessed.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Students who successfully complete the program, will be awarded:

Post Graduate Diploma in ERP Systems (PGDERPS) from Ganpat University, India.

Master of Business (Enterprise Resource Planning Systems) from Victoria University, Australia.

10 certificates of achievement from SAP, Australia and Victoria University.
