MAT LAB IEEE - DSP/DIP BASED PROJECTS:

1) BIO METRIC SECURITIES USING FACE RECOGNITION – IEEE

2008

Desc: A Two-dimensional principal component analysis (2DPCA) is

developed for image representation. As opposed to PCA, 2DPCA is

based on 2D image matrices rather than 1D vector so the image matrix

does not need to be transformed into a vector prior to feature extraction.

Instead, an image covariance matrix is constructed directly using the

original image matrices and its eigenvectors are derived for image feature

extraction.

2) A CDMA LINEAR DE-CORRELATOR DETECTOR – IEEE 2007

Desc: This paper presents the advantages and disadvantages of a

multicarrier code-division multiple- access (MC-CDMA) system. The

transmitter/receiver structure and the bandwidth of transmitted signal

spectrum are compared with those of a conventional direct-sequence

(DS) CDMA system, and an MC-CDMA design method, how to

determine the number of subcarriers and the length of guard interval is

discussed. The bit error rate (BER) lower bounds for DS-CDMA and

MA-CDMA systems are derived and their equivalence is theoretically

demonstrated. Finally, the BER performance in downlink and uplink

channels with frequency-selective Rayleigh fading is shown by computer

simulation.

3) INFORMATION HIDING IN A DIGITAL IMAGE USING DCT

that is computationally less intensive than curvelets, but similar donising

performance.

5) MOVING OBJECT DETECTION WITH VELOCITY ESTIMATION –

IEEE 2005

Desc: We propose a novel method for velocity estimation and detection

of a moving object in an image sequence. This purpose is achieved by

using discrete wavelet. In the image sequence processing is replaced by

1-dimensional(1-D) complex signal processing. Then, trajectory signal

with approximately constant speed and orientation is considered as a

bunch of 1-D complex sinusoidal waves and object's velocity can be

estimated. In addition, these estimates can be com- bined with depending

on the energy of the subband im-ages.
