It gives immense pleasure to flag-off the newsletter “ECE-TIMES”

of the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering,

highlighting the activities of the period 2015(Jan-June). It is en-

deavor of the department to articulate the newsletter with various

information's to acquaint its readers with the achievements of the

ECE fraternity. The laudable exercise of the students and staff of

this department has already brought laurels in various corners of

this institution. I applaud the staff and students for this achieve-

ment and wish that everyone continue their untiring efforts not

only to retain this achievement but to grow to further high stan-

dards. Also, congratulate head of the department for taking initia-

tive in releasing the seventh newsletter

It gives very content that as a forerunner the department of Elec-tronics & Communication Engineering is releasing its Seventh issue of “ECE– TIMES” newsletter. The major strength of the de-partment is the amalgamation of our qualified and dedicated faculty who understand the rhythm of the students for their aca-demic excellence. Our under graduate and post graduate pro-gram students are equally showing their enthusiasm towards extracurricular and co-curricular activities contemplate them towards placement and higher education. Further, it gives satis-faction to bring out the update information about the depart-ment newsletter blended with technical and non-technical seg-ment that is rich in contents. With this bright vigor and enthusi-asm, let's us look forward for further progress of our department academic objectives set for the year 2015-16. I. EJIVE 2K15

An Eighth National Level Technical Symposium “STRIDES – E-JIVE 2K15 “ was organ-ized by the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering on 14-02-2015 at PRA-GATI ENGINEERING COLLEGE. The Programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Sri D Mallikarjhuna Rao garu,

former dean, ECE Dept. Pragati Engineering College. The Chief Guest lighted the inaugural

jyothi and also spoke a few words on the occasion. He said that “students need to update

their trend in the technical knowledge & skills regularly to prove their worth in this competi-

tive world”. He said that “STRIDES” is an opportunity & platform for engineering students to

explore & exhibit their innate technical & creative skills at National level” and emphasized the

need to focus on R&D activities. The chief guest released the souvenir along with all the digni-

taries on and off the dais along with student coordinators.

entries in Paper presentation were obtained out of which 31 were selected for the final

Presentation, 50 entries in Poster presentation out of which 41 got selected for the final

Presentation, 50 entries in Project display out of which 44 selected for final Presentation,

30 Teams participated in Quiz Competition.

his valuable message appreciating the team work of the students.

The students of different colleges who have participated in STRIDES –EJIVE 2K15 said

that the organizing skills, hospitality, food and the discipline of the event are remarkable.

The prize winners rejoiced to receive their prizes. The function ended up with a vote of thanks

II. FAREWELL DAY CELEBRATIONS

Our III ECE students organized Farewell day on 21st April 2015, at 1pm in our college to giving warm send of their senior .The directors, principal, head of the department and other faculty members were given a very wholehearted welcome. Our college principal Dr.S.Shambu gave his wonderful advice to their future, followed by head of department Mr.V.Prasanth. The 3rd year students asking questions their seniors depending on their character, after that the cultural started which included some mesmerizing and excellent performances by seniors. Of all the events the video presentation which has dedicated to the seniors is the centre of attraction. The video included individual pictures of every sen-ior student and some of their group pictures. The senior students maintained a dress code for the party. The 3rd year students giving prizes to their seniors.
