Welcome the Echoes of the Past: The Castle of Shadows walkthrough on Gamezebo. Echoes of the Past:The Castle of Shadows is a hidden object adventure game played on the PC created by Big Fish Games. Thiswalkthrough includes tips and tricks, helpful hints, and a strategy guide for how to complete Echoes of the Past:The Castle of Shadows .

General Tips

At the beginning of the game, you can choose between two gameplay difficulties: Regular Mode (withadditional hints, and active zones highlighted) or Advanced Mode (active zones remain unindicated).

In-game hints are limited: additional hints can be earned by finding mirrors in select hidden objectareas. These mirrors will not appear in “place-back” hidden object areas, or reactivated ones.

An in-game journal will keep track of notes and important details, both regarding the story and puzzlesyou encounter.

You may skip puzzles. However, for every puzzle skipped, 30 minutes will be added to your overallgame time.

Hidden object areas contain slightly randomized items. Therefore, only key inventory items or “actionitems” are outlined in the guide below.

This guide is taylored to the Collector's Edition of the game. As such, a bonus section is included atthe end addressing the Bonus Adventure.

Find the objects listed at the top of the screen. The two mirrors are boxed in yellow. In order to obtainthe Burning Candle:

? 1. Pick up the Match

? 2. Strike the Match on the Matchbox

? 3. Use the lit match on the Burning Candle, then click it to strike it from the list. The Burning Candle will beadded to your inventory.

Place the Burning Candle into the candlestick, then click on the area just behind it to enter a puzzle.

Arrange the statuettes so that they're all in their correct positions. Solving the puzzle will reward youwith the Statuette in your inventory. The solution is shown below:

Proceed up the stairs on the left towards the Clock. Pick up the Weight.

Exit the Clock area and proceed back downstairs and towards the door on the right. Place theStatuette in the indent in the door to open it.

Chapter 2: The Bridge

Town Square

Proceed forward into the Square and click on the Fountain to trigger a hidden object area.

Find the objects listed at the top of the screen. The two mirrors are boxed in yellow. In order to obtainthe Coin:

Upon completing the area, the Handle will be added to your inventory.

Exit the Chapel and proceed through the Town Square and to the Bridge (accessed by passingthrough the pathway behind the Fountain and to the right).

Bridge

Pick up the Beads located on the upper left, then take a closer look at the Bridge: pick up the RedToken to add it to your inventory as well. Zoom it on the lamppost to collect the Fuse.

Proceed down to the River Bank by going left of the Bridge (towards the tree with the ladder in thedistance).

River Bank

Pick up the Lighter and the Wine Bottle circled below to add them to your inventory. Use the Handleon the fishing net mechanism (marked with an X) to fish out the Keys. Click them to add them to yourinventory.

Return to the Town Square.

Chapter 3: The Tavern

Town Square

Back in the Town Square, take a closer look at the Garment Factory door: it's locked, with an openingtime of 5:45. This will be important later.

Take a closer look at the Tavern door on the left. Place the Keys on the peg board on the right totrigger a puzzle.

Place the correct key with the correct lock to open the door: the solution is shown below:

Enter the Tavern.

Tavern

Light the fuse rope hanging from the chandelier with the Lighter to light up the room.

Pick up the Pepper and the Glass (located in the circled cabinet on the left) to add them to yourinventory. Give the ghost that appears the Wine Bottle (marked with an X) to receive the first piece ofthe Amulet in return.

Enter the hidden object area that appears behind the former ghost once he disappears.

Find the objects listed at the top of the screen. The two mirrors are boxed in yellow. In order to obtainthe Easter Egg:

? 1. Pick up the Paintbrush.

? 2. Dip the Paintbrush in the Paint.

? 3. Use the Paint(brush) on the Egg to strike the Easter Egg off your list.

Pick up the Street Lamp and add it to your inventory.

Back in the main Tavern, proceed up the steps to the Game Room.

Tavern Room

Pick up the Blue Token on the left side of the gate.

Exit the Tavern and proceed to the street just outside the Chapel, and before the Town Square.

Side Street

Use the Street Lamp on the broken lamppost on the left to fix it.

Give the Beads to the Monk that appears. Restoring him will reward you with the second piece of theAmulet. Afterwards, pick up the Clock Hand located on the tree trunk behind his previous location.

Return to the Clock located inside the Chapel.

Chapel

Proceed up the stairs to the Clock, then zoom in on the Clock face.

Use the Clock Hand on the Clock face. Hold the mouse button down and arrange the hands on theclock so the time appears as 5:45. Pick up the Factory Key that falls from the Clock upon completion.

Chapter 4: The Garment Factory

Town Square

Click on the building on the right: it's known as the Garment Factory. Use the Factory Key on the doorto unlock it and enter.

Garment Factory

Click on the area marked with a red check to enter a hidden object area.

Find the objects listed at the top of the screen. The two mirrors are boxed in yellow. In order to obtainthe Sharpened Pencil:

? 1. Pick up the Knife.

? 2. Use the Knife on the Pencil to sharpen it and cross it from your list.

Pick up the Green Token.

Click on the cabinet located on the upper right portion of the screen to trigger a puzzle.

Screw the Fuses into their proper locations so that the lines and the shapes on the fuses match upwith the designs shown inside the box. The solution is shown below:

Use the Crowbar on the section of floor located in front of the Guard's ghost to pry up the floorboard.Pick up the Wrench inside to add it to your inventory.

Proceed through the back door.

Factory Floor

Pick up the Insulation Tape, then click the book lying on the table shut, followed by clicking the fabric,to reveal the Handle. Click it to add it to your inventory.

Return to the Tavern.

Tavern

Zoom in on the red slot machine and use the Red Token on the slot on the right. Push the buttons onthe slot machine so that the slots match those in the picture shown above: all lions. The solution is A,B(x4), C(x3). Refer to the screenshot below for the reference on the letters. Your reward will be theCoin (1 of 3).

Zoom in on the blue slot machine and use the Blue Token on the slot on the right. Push the buttons onthe slot machine so that the slots match those in the picture shown above: all pirate flags. Thesolution is A, B(x4), C(x6), D(x5), E, F(x3), G(x4). Refer to the screenshot below for the reference onthe letters. Your reward will be the Coin (2 of 3).

Zoom in on the green slot machine and use the Green Token on the slot on the right. Push the buttonson the slot machine so that the slots match those in the picture shown above: all monkeys. Thesolution is C(x3), F(x4), E(x4), D(x3), B(x2), A(x5), G(x5). Refer to the screenshot below for thereference on the letters. Your reward will be the Coin (3 of 3).

Proceed up the steps towards the Tavern Room.

Tavern Room

Place the 3 Coin(s) in the slot in the gate to open it.

Pick up the Hacksaw and the Broom circled below to add them to your inventory. Click on the woddencups on the table to the left (marked with an X) to trigger a puzzle.

Find the matching pairs hidden amongst the cups. An example is shown below:

Once you've found all the matching pairs, you'll be rewarded with the Small Barrel. Return to the mainTavern area.

Tavern

Place the Small Barrel on the table on the right. Pick up the Handle that appears.

Use the newly acquired Handle on the pantry door on the left. This will reveal another hidden objectarea.

Place the items back in their correct locations. They have been numbered and are shown below:

Upon completing the area, the Knife will be added to your inventory.

Return to the Factory.

Factory

Place the Broom in its proper location (marked with an X) to reveal the Clothes Tags. Pick them upand add them to your inventory.

Proceed through the back door to the Factory Floor.

Factory Floor

Take a closer look at the machine towards the back of the room. Use the Clothes Tags on theclose-up to enter a puzzle.

Place the clothes-tags so that each column contains clothes tags with identical symbols. The solutionis shown below:

Pick up the Garden Pruner that falls on the ground to add it to your inventory. Use the Hacksaw on thechained crate to reveal the Screwdriver. Pick that up as well. Use the Wrench on the sink on the left toobtain the Faucet for your inventory.


Town Square

Zoom in on the drain in front of the Fountain. Use the Screwdriver to loosen the screws and open the

cover. Click on the Valve to drain the water, then exit the close-up.

The Fountain is now sparkling again. Click on it to enter a hidden object area puzzle.


Upon completion, the Uniform Cap will be added to your inventory.

Backtrack to the Side Street.

Side Street

Place the Faucet under the fountain on the right, then place the Glass under the faucet to fill it. Pick itup when filled to add the Glass with Water to your inventory.

Cut the low-hanging branch on the tree with the Garden Pruner and pick up the Dry Tree Branch thatfalls to the ground to add it to your inventory.

Return to the Factory.

Factory

Give the Uniform Cap to the Guard to obtain the third piece of the Amulet.

Once the Guard disappears, use the Knife on the small cupboard behind his former location to open itand reveal another hidden object area.


Upon completion, the Antler will be added to your inventory.


Tavern

Place the Antler in its missing location on the deer head and pick up the Dart that appears behind it.

Go to the Tavern Room.

Tavern Room

Click on the Dartboard for a closer view: use the Dart on the dartboard and pick up the Button thatappears.

Exit to the Town Square.

Chapter 5: The Pharmacy

Town Square

Take a closer look at the Pharmacy (the building straight ahead in the back). Place the Button in itsmissing location to trigger a puzzle.

Place the buttons on the board according to the background color (green vs. brown). The solution isshown below. Press the buttons (as labeled below) in the following order: A, B, A, C, C.

Enter the Pharmacy.

Pharmacy

Use the Insulation Tape on the broken wires to restore light to the room.

Place the Weight on the left portion of the scale to make the Dried Herbs appear on the right. Pickthem up to add them to your inventory, then click on the counter in the back (marked with an X).

Place the Dry Tree Branch, Dried Herbs, Glass with Water, and the Pepper in their proper locationsaccording to the silhouettes on the table.

Follow the directions to prepare the medicine for the pharmacist. The directions are as follows:

? 1. Place the Dry Tree Branch in the (2)Mortar & Pestle.

? 2. Place the crushed Dry Tree Branch from the (2)Mortar & Pestle into Beaker (B).

? 3. Place the Pepper into the (3)Press to liquify it.

? 4. Place the liquified Pepper contents from the (3)Press into Beaker (C).

? 5. Place the Dried Herbs onto the (4)Cutting Board to chop them.

? 6. Place the chopped Dried Herbs from the (4)Cutting Board into Beaker (D).

? 7. Pour the Glass of Water into the (1)Bowl.

? 8. Pour the contents of the (1)Bowl into Beaker (A).

Upon successful completion, the Medication will be added to your inventory.

Give the Medication to the Pharmacist to receive the fourth piece of Amulet in return.

Use the (four-pronged) Handleon the safe behind where the Pharmacist was just standing. Pick upthe Hatchet inside to add it to your inventory.

Return to the River Bank, located beyong the Bridge.

River Bank

Chop the logs on the right with the Hatchet. Enter a close-up to realize you need something to holdthe pieces together. Return to the Fountain in the Town Square.

Town Square

A hidden object area has been activated at the Fountain. Find the 17 arrows hidden in the area.Completing this task successfully will reward you with the Arrow.


Tavern

A hidden object area has been activated in the pantry behind the counter on the left. Find the 15feathers hidden in the area. Give the bird in the lower left corner some bread to have it reveal the finalfeather. The bird and bread are circled below in blue. Completing this task successfully will rewardyou with the Quill.

Exit and enter the Factory.

Factory

A hidden object area has been activated in the small cupboard on the floor on the right side. Find the17 pieces of rope hidden in the area. The last piece of rope can be found by placing the Rock in theBasket, both of which hace been circled in blue below. Completing this task successfully will rewardyou with the Rope.

Leave and return to the River Bank.

River Bank

Zoom in on the logs on the right. Use the Rope on the zoomed-in logs to trigger a puzzle.

Place the pieces of wood in their correct locations: the position of the nails will offer clues. Pieces willlock into place when placed correctly. The solution is shown below:

Once finished, click on the raft again to cross the expanse of water.

Chapter 6: The Castle Gate

Castle Bank

Use the Arrow from your inventory on the crossbow at the bottom right. This will shoot down the hotair balloon. Pick up the Doll that falls onto the ground to add it to your inventory.

Proceed up the steps to the Castle Gate.

Castle Gate

Pick up the Stone Ball on the left to add it to your inventory.

Get back on the raft and backtrack all the way to the Chapel Door.

Chapel Door

Place the Stone Ball in its missing location on the right to reveal a secret chamber in the wall. Collectthe Triangular Key.

Return to the Castle Gate.

Castle Gate

Zoom in on the Plate to the left side of the portcullis to enter a small puzzle.

Use the Triangular Key to unscrew each of the special triangular screws.

Arrange the pieces of stone until it restores their original message. The solution is shown below. Thewords “Licitum Sit” will appear afterwards.

The portcullis is now open. Enter the Courtyard.

Courtyard

Click on the sparkling area on the right to enter a hidden object area.

Find the objects listed at the top of the screen. The two mirrors are boxed in yellow. In order to obtainthe Wooden Doll:

? 1. Pick up the Knife.

? 2. Use the Knife on the Stump to obtain the Wooden Doll.

Pick up the Kerosene Can.

Zoom in on the street lamp on the left. Use the Kerosene Can on the bulb, then click the switch to lightit.

The Maidservant will appear. Give the Quill to the Gargoyle statue on the left. Take note of thesymbols on his scroll: they'll be important a little later.

Place the Doll on the see-saw to reveal the Wheel. Place the Wheel on the carriage on the left tomove it and reveal a new hidden object area.

Upon successful completion, the Bulbs will be added to your inventory.

Exit the Courtyard back to the Castle Gate.

Castle Gate

Zoom in on the area to the right. Place the Bulbs on the scooped soil to trigger a puzzle.

Plant the bulbs, making sure that none of the flowers wilt by being next to an incompatible color. Thesolution is shown below. Upon completing the Bouquet will be added to your inventory.

Return to the Courtyard.

Courtyard

Give the Bouquet to the Maidservant. She'll reward you with the fifth and final piece of the Amulet.

Once she disappears, pick up the Chimera Tablet left behind her on the ground.

Place the Chimera Tablet in its missing location below the gargoyle on the left to obtain the DoorDecoration.

Zoom in on the castle doors. Use the Door Decoration on the indent to trigger a puzzle.

The markings on the gargoyle's parchment (also reviewable in your journal) give the basis clue as tohow to solve the puzzle. The rest from there is colors. The solution is shown below:

You can now gain access to the Castle.

Chapter 7: The Castle

Throne Room

Place the Amulet on the stand in the throne room. After a few twists and turns, you'll find yourself inthe Dungeon.

Dungeon

Enter the hidden object area on the right.

Find the objects listed at the top of the screen. The two mirrors are boxed in yellow. In order to obtainthe Sketch:

? 1. Pick up the Pencil.

? 2. Use the Pencil on the Paper to obtain the Sketch.

Pick up the Nail Puller.

Use the Nail Puller on the boards to remove them, then click on the tablet on the far wall for a closerlook.

Set the stones in their correct positions so that they're indicative of the word “Licitum Sit”. The stoneswill start in a neutral position. The solution is:

? First row: Out-Out-In-Out-In-Out-In

? Second row: Out-Out-In

Proceed forward into the Torture Room.

Torture Room

Zoom in on the panel on the door. Press the buttons until all of them are lit and the door is unlocked,then continue into the next area.

Click on the sparkling hidden object area located on the left to enter it.

Place the items back in their correct locations. They are numbered and shown below:

Upon completing the area successfully, you'll be rewarded with the Lever.

Return back to the first area of the Torture Room.

Use the Lever on the large gear near the back wall to open it and reveal a secret chamber.

Zoom in on the last box on the back wall. Use the Triangular Key on it to trigger a puzzle.

Make all the lamps shine brightly by pressing the correct buttons: small bulbs can take one current,and large can take two. The solution is shown below:

The second area of the Torture Room is now lit. Return to the first room of the Dungeon.

Dungeon

Click on the reactivated hidden object area.

Find the 15 keys hidden throughout the area. The bread circled in the screenshot below must beclicked twice to reveal the key within:

You will be rewarded with the Key.

Return to the Torture Room.

Torture Room

Back in the first area of the Torture Room, click on the skeleton for a closer view. Use the Key on itsshackles to release it, then click on them again to add the Handcuffs to your inventory.

Proceed to the second area of the Torture Room. Give the Handcuffs to the Jailer. You'll receive the

Green Magic Gem in return.

Exit through the back door, then the opening in the ceiling, then the right door to reach the Hall.

Hall

Click the basket on the couch to knock it over, and collect the Chicken that falls out to add it to yourinventory.

Continue forward into the Tower Corridor.

Tower Corridor

Click on the hidden object area on the right.

Find the objects listed at the top of the screen. The two mirrors are boxed in yellow. In order to obtainthe Spider:

? 1. Pick up the Fly.

? 2. Place the Fly on the web to lure out the Spider. Click it to cross it off the list.

Pick up the Garden Pruner.

Click on the lever on the right to make the missing steps reappear, then climb up the stairs.

Tower

Click on the hidden object area on the left.

Place the items back in their correct locations. They are numbered and shown below:

Upon successful completion, the Quadrangular Key will be added to your inventory.

Click on the window across the room to enter another puzzle.

Reassemble the window. When a piece is placed correctly, it will lock. The solution is shown below:

The four symbols that glow on the window are essential to the next puzzle.

Zoom in on the bookshelf on the left. Pick the 4 correct books to reveal a secret chamber. The correctfour/solution is shown below:

Enter the newly-revealed room.

Tower Chamber

Open the closet on the right, then click on the lever inside. A brief cutscene will ensue showing theportcullis in the tower corridor opening.

Proceed back down to the Tower Corridor.

Tower Corridor

Now that the portcullis is opened, proceed forward and down.

Go forward through the entryway (note there's a pipe section missing here), and into the next room. Inthe next room, turn right. You'll find yourself in the castle Storage Room.

Storage Room

Click twice on the lid of the casket lying on the floor. Pick up the Teddy Bear lying inside. Zoom in onthe chest to enter a puzzle.

Set the correct pairs of identical signs to unlock the chest. The solution is shown below:

Pick up the Hexogonal Key from inside the chest and add it to your inventory.

Proceed back to the first area of the Torture Room by clicking “down” 5 times from here, down throughthe hole in the ground, then clicking “down” twice more.

Torture Room

Click on the middle box on the wall to enter a close-up, then use the Quadrangular Key on the box toopen it and enter a puzzle.

Make all the lamps shine brightly by pressing the correct buttons: small bulbs can take one current,and large can take two. The solution is shown below:

Repeat this process for the first box on the wall: use the Hexogonal Key to open it and enter anotherpuzzle. Make all the lamps shine brightly by pressing the correct buttons: small bulbs can take onecurrent, and large can take two. The solution is shown below:

Now that you've restored light to all the previously dark rooms, exit the Torture Room via going right,forward, then through the opening in the ceiling. You'll find yourself in the Kitchen.

Kitchen

Place the Chicken in the oven, then pick up the Scoop next to the oven to add it to your inventory.

Proceed through the back door and into the Wine Cellar.

Wine Cellar

Use the Scoop on the spilled flour on the right to reveal the Funnel. Click on it to add it to yourinventory.

Exit the wine cellar back into the kitchen, then proceed right and up back into the tower corridor.

Tower Corridor

Click on the reactivated hidden object area.

Find the 15 hooks hidden throughout the area. Their locations are shown and circled below (one canbe found beneath a cloth by clicking on it). Upon finding all of them successfully, the Hook will beadded to your inventory:

Go through the entryway next to the steps, then forward into the previously dark Laboratory.

Laboratory

Place the Hook on the chain hanging in the center of the room to lift the trapdoor. Pick up the Rakehidden underneath to add it to your inventory. Next, place the Funnel on the table on the right. Waitjust a moment, then pick up the Chest Key that appears inside the pan. Zoom in on the microscope(marked with an X) to trigger a puzzle.

Rotate the rings so that you can see the maximum number of atoms. The solution is as follows:

? Click 3 times on the Green Ring (or until 6 green molecules are visible).

? Click 3 times on the Yellow Ring (or until 12 yellow molecules are visible).

? Click 3 times on the Red Ring (or until 6 red molecules are visible).

Upon successful completion, the Oil Can will be added to your inventory.

Click down until you once again reach the kitchen, then proceed to the wine cellar.

Wine Cellar

Use the Chest Key on the chest on the table on the left to open it and add the Soup Ladle to yourinventory.

Return to the kitchen.

Kitchen

Use the Oil Can on the cage on the left to retrieve the Knife, then place the Knife next to the cheese tocut it and add Piece of Cheese to your inventory.

Give the Soup Ladle to the cook. In return, you'll receive the Yellow Magic Gem. Pick up the ElectricBulb that appears behind the cook once she disappears to add it to your inventory.

Go down through the hole in the kitchen and return to the second area of the Torture Room.

Chapter 8: The Garden

Torture Room

Place the Piece of Cheese on its missing spot on the crate, then collect the Pick inside to add it toyour inventory.

Time to explore the Garden. Exit through the door ahead, then through the doorway in the ceiling.Turn right from the kitchen, forward/down through the tower corridor, forward once more, then righttwice. You should find yourself in the Garden.

Garden

Click on the lamppost on the left for a close-up. Use the Electric Bulb on the lamp to light up thegarden.

Place the Rake on the ground between the statue and the pile of leaves. It will reveal the Spade. Pickit up to add it to your inventory.

Give the Teddy Bear to the ghoulish girl. In thanks, she'll reward you with the Red Magic Gem.

Click the manhole on the ground to open up a passageway that leads back to the Dungeon. However,don't go back down into the dungeon right now.

Click on the scrubs ahead for a closer view.

Use the Garden Pruners on the scrubs to remove them and open up a path to the Castle Courtyard.

Castle Courtyard

Click on the bushes between the front door of the castle and the passage back to the garden to entera hidden object area.

Find the 15 crowns scattered throughout the area: one must be uncovered by opening the scroll andclicking the crown inside. Their locations are circled and shown below. Upon successful completion,the Crown will be added to your inventory.

Exit the castle courtyard and proceed down to the castle (river)bank.

Castle Bank

Use the Spade on the heap of dirt near the raft to uncover the Fetters and add them to your inventory.

Take the raft and return all the way to the chapel door.

Chapel Door

Use the Pick on the loose stone on the left. Pick up the Knight Head and add it to your inventory.

Click backwards to the chapel.

Chapel

Click on the hidden object area on the right.

Find the 15 time measuring tools hidden throughout the area. One clock is hidden inside a case: the

key and the case containing the clock are circled in blue below. Upon successfully completing thearea, the Hourglass will be added to your inventory.

Return to the raft, enter the castle, and make your way back to the laboratory.

Laboratory

Give the Hourglass to the scientist: you'll be rewarded with the Blue Magic Gem.

Make your way back to the second torture room of the dungeon by clicking “down” until you eventuallyget there.

Torture Room

Place the Fetters in their missing location on the table on the right (next to the former location of thecheese and Pick). Pick up Part of the Pipe.

Return to the kitchen, take a right, go through the doorway and turn below the steps to reach theentrance room.

Entrance Room

Use the Part of Pipe on the leaking area of the pipe to repair it. Pick up the Knight Glove that falls ontothe ground to add it to your inventory.

Proceed forward and right into the storage room.

Storage Room

Place the Knight Helmet and the Knight Glove on the suit of armor on the right. Pick up the Part ofShield (1 of 2) that appears next to the armor to add it to your inventory.

Exit out the door to the right to access the garden.

Garden

Use the Crown on the Griffin statue to reveal Part of Shield (2 of 2). Pick it up and add it to yourinventory.

Make your way back to the laboratory.

Laboratory

Place Part of Shield 1 and 2 on the door near the back of the room to open it, then click on the inside

for a closer view.

Swap the gems to arrange them according to the example pattern at the top of the screen. Place allfour gems from your inventory into the puzzle to activate it. Upon successful completion, you'll receivethe stones back in a new form, and a secret doorway will open.

Enter the throne room.

Throne Room

Click on the spiders near the top of the screen for a closer view. Place the gems from your inventoryinto the corresponding color of spider.

Once you've placed all the gems, small mirrors will appear. Rotate them so all the colored beamsconverge on the amulet. The solution is shown below:

Now sit back, relax, and enjoy the ending.

Bonus Adventure

If you own the Collector's Edition of Echoes of the Past: The Castle of Shadows, then you're fortunate enough tohave unlocked a Bonus Adventure upon completing your first playthrough! This portion of the guide is awalkthrough for the Bonus Adventure.

Click the “Extras” button and then “Bonus Adventure” to access these extra levels.

Throne Room

You'll resume where you took off at the end of the game: in the throne room. Proceed forward into thenewly available doorway.

Catacombs

Take a closer look at the door straight ahead. Click on it to enter a puzzle.

Put all the marble pieces together to unlock the door. The solution is shown below:

Proceed into the next room.

Click on the painting on the right side of the doorway: a Red Button (1 of 4) will fall from it. Pick it up toadd it to your inventory.

Enter the door on the right (the blue-lit doorway).

Dragon Room

Pick up the Blue Button (1 of 4) on the right to add it to your inventory.

Click on the pile of rubble on the right three times to reveal the Crowbar. Pick it up to add it to yourinventory.

Exit the room.

Catacombs

Back in the catacombs, proceed forward into the kitchen.

Kitchen

Click on the tablecloth to reveal Red Button (2 of 4) on the table.

Click the two vases on the left table to knock them over, revealing the Gear.

Exit the kitchen via the way you came.

Catacombs

In the area with the paintings, zoom in on the clock on the right wall for a closer look. Use the Gearfrom your inventory on it to retrieve the Key (1).

Click down, then turn right.

Library

Use the Crowbar on the hatch lock on the ceiling to open it. Proceed up the ladder and into thechapel.

Chapel

Click on the cupboard on the left to enter a hidden object area.

The location of the final item, the Piano Key, is shown below:

Exit the chapel, exit the library, move forward once and then enter the left door.

Piano Room

Click on the piano for a closer view: one of the keys is missing. Use the Piano Key on the piano to fixit, thus revealing another hatch exit.

Tavern

Click on the hidden object area on the left.

Exit the Tavern, exit the Piano Room, and then take a right into the Dragon Room.

Dragon Room

Place the Bas-relief in the indentation in the statue to reveal yet another hidden hatchway.

Climb the ladder into the Factory.

Factory

Click on the hidden object area ahead.

The location of the final item, the Screwdriver, is shown below:

Exit the Factory and the Dragon Room, and procee forward to the Kitchen.

Kitchen

Take a closer look at the door on the right. Use the Screwdriver on the screws to unhinge and open

the door.

Proceed through the door.

Catacombs

Click on the loose stone on the right wall until it gives way, revealing the Key (2). Pick it up to add it toyour inventory.

Take a closer look at the door straight ahead to enter a puzzle.

Assemble the magic lock. Make sure that all the crystals are shining. The solution is shown below:

Proceed through the door.

Workshop

Pick up the Punched Card lying on the back table, then click on the button on the left to obtain theWooden Arm, adding both to your inventory.

Exit by clicking down 4 times, then turn right and enter the library.

Library

Use Key (2) on the chest to open it. Pick up the Blue Button (2 of 4) lying inside the chest, then take acloser look at the book on the left.

Once zoomed in on the book, used the Punched Card on it to reveal a letter code. Don't worry: yourjournal will remember and keep track of it for you for later.

Exit the library, go forward, and enter the door on the left.

Piano Room

Place the Wooden Arm on the mannequin to obtain Red Button (3 of 4) when it falls to the ground.

Exit the Piano Room, move forward into the Kitchen, take the door on the right, and then zoom in onthe door on the left in the next area.

Catacombs

Take a closer look at the door on the left. Use Key (1) on the door to open it.

Proceed through the door into the next room.

Trophy Room

This room's full of hunting trophies. Click on the bear pelt on the floor to reveal Blue Button (3 of 4).

Take a closer look at the puzzle that's on the door on the right wall.

Enter the code to unlock the door. Note: the code is jotted down in your journal, with each letter beingassociated with a shape (provided you followed the guide). The solution is shown below:

Proceed through the same door.

Torture Room

You'll find yourself back in the all-too-familiar dungeon. Click on the hidden object area on the left.

Exit the room, click down, then go forward into the workshop.

Workshop

Use the Saw Blade on the table on the right, then pick up the Logs that result and add them to yourinventory.

Exit the Workshop, then make two lefts.

Science Room

This room has a ladder missing many of its steps. Pick up the Red Button (4 of 4) located on the left,then use the Logs on the missing ladder rungs to repair them.

Climb the ladder to access a hidden object area.

Exit the hidden object area, then zoom in on the door on the right to enter a puzzle.

Find pairs of crystals, then put all the crystal pieces together to unlock the door. The solutions for part1 and 2 of the puzzle are shown below:

Proceed through the door to the right.

Armor Room

Use the Wire Brush on the shield to reveal a key to solving the next puzzle (this, too, will be shown inyour journal).

Click on the puzzle on the back wall to begin.

Arrange the dials so that they match the order on the knight's shield. Your reward for doing thiscorrectly is the Blue Button (4 of 4). The solution is shown below:

Click down 6 times, all the way back to the very start of the catacombs.

Catacombs

Zoom in on the puzzle on the left wall for a closer look. Place the 4 Red Buttons and the 4 BlueButtons on the dials. Click on the center buttons until all the red buttons are on top and the blue areon the bottom, buttons matching background color. However, in order to solve this particular puzzle,the center buttons you're pressing have to be aligned correctly, too. Lettering the buttons you press A,B, and C from left to right, the solution is B, C, A, B(x3), A, B(x3), A(x3), C, and should appear likethis:
