The development will include a purpose built facility for Honeywell, which will occupy approximately half of the plot. The remaining section of the plot has been allocated for Eco Logistics Park and designed to allow efficient truck circulation around the premises. As part of the Masdar master plan the plot is required to meet the three Pearl Estidama target as a minimum condition. The design team are currently undergoing assessment of Estidama with the intention to fulfil this requirement whilst also taking on board the additional mandatory requirements of Masdar in regard to defined special credits.
Estidama encourages water, energy and waste minimization, local material use and aims to improve supply chains for sustainable and recycled materials and products.

In 2015 Abu Dhabi Airport supported 827,456 metric tonnes of cargo, an increase of 3.8% on the previous quarter. With ongoing infrastructure improvements and the development of Midfield Terminal these figures are expected to rise in 2016 and onwards. Abu Dhabi Airport achieved record traffic figures in 2015, with more than 23 million passengers traveling through its terminals, marking a 17.2% increase in passenger traffic compared to 2014.
Masdar City is approximately forty minutes’ drive to Jebel Ali Port, Dubai, one of the largest cargo ports in the world. The port is currently being expanded and once complete will be able to accommodate a capacity of 22.1 million TEU by 2018.
