Foreword

With over 20 years professional experience of

LED technology, our specialist design team have

developed a dynamic range of LED luminaires

for wide ranging applications using the best and

most cutting-edge technology available.

Manufactured in our own production facilities,

use of unique, patented technology makes

EcoLED products reliable, maintenance free,

easy to install and affordable.

Our lighting design team are able to offer

our clients a complete lighting solution.

Whether commercial, hotel, retail or residential,

we have broad experience of working with

Architects, Interior Designers and private

clients to provide solutions that will enhance

the environment whilst significantly reducing

energy consumption .

Our colour control systems and Infitronic® power

supplies complement our products allowing

easy design and installation ensuring accurate

control and flexibility.

All of our products comply with current building

regulations.

Lighting and EcoLED

For many years we have relied on inefficient

incandescent, halogen and more recently

compact fluorescent lighting, which is prone to

warm up time and flickering. This must change

as worldwide legislation dictates that we switch

over to energy efficient systems.

Using LED technology we can not only achieve

the familiar warm light required in residential

projects but LEDs will actually enhance our

environment making it more colourful and

controllable whilst reducing carbon emissions.

Environment and EcoLED

The Benefits of EcoLEDConventional incandescent electric lighting

burns 25% of the average home energy budget!

The electricity used over the lifetime of a single

incandescent lamp costs on average 30 times

the original purchase price of the lamp itself.

LEDs have revolutionised lighting efficiency,

typically using 80% less energy than that of a

filament lamp and improving year on year.

Greater LifespanA typical incandescent bulb has a lifespan of

around 2,000 hours.

EcoLED lighting can last up to 50,000 hours with

almost no degradation of light output. That is

about 17 years in an average household (based

on 8 hours usage per day).

This is more than 10 times the lifespan of compact

fluorescent and 25 times longer life than typical

incandescent lamps.

EcoLED Lighting is solid state making it

extremely robust and virtually eliminating

maintenance or replacements.

Cool and SafeEcoLED lighting generates very little heat and

therefore has positive secondary environmental

benefits such as reducing the workload of air-

conditioning systems.

Mercury Free & 'Eco-Friendly'EcoLED lighting is mercury free unlike compact

fluorescent lamps which need careful handling

and disposal.

Our EcoLED product range is manufactured

using recycled materials wherever possible and

many can be recycled at the end of their life.

Decorate with EcoLED

Decorate with LightColoured lights are traditionally associated with

bars and nightclubs not with cosy nights in front

of the TV! With modern LED however, you can

use and enjoy colour in your home, adjusting

the mood whatever the occasion.

Colour TemperatureNot long ago, early LED products were a little

quirky and so gained a reputation for emitting

strange light. This is no longer the case as

modern LED luminaires can now produce all

colours of the rainbow as well as the comfort

of the familiar ‘Warm White’ glow of the old

incandescent bulb.

DimmingMany of our products can be dimmed using a

simple dimmable driver and a suitable dimming

controller.

Intensity (Lumens)The lumen is a measure of the power of light

as perceived by the human eye. A 100W

incandescent light bulb produces roughly

1200 lumens, about 12 lumens per watt plus

a lot of unnecessary heat.

Our LEDs typically produce over 80 lumens

per watt thus producing over 6 times the

light output for the same amount of power.

Colour RenderingThe Colour Rendering Index (CRI) is used to

measure how accurately a lighting source

renders the color of objects when compared to

sunlight. Sunlight is defined to have a CRI of 100.

EcoLEDs have very high CRI values making

them the most suitable technology for general

lighting today.

The ZEP 2 Range

There is a myth surrounding the world of

lighting that LED technology is not quite ready

yet. Consequently, colours, brightness, dimming

and price exclude them from being a viable

option for everyday lighting solutions.

The creation of the ZEP 2 range of downlights

has evolved from a challenge to make LED the

‘norm’ rather than the exception.

Our design team have produced a range of

patented fully complementary downlighting

options using the same advanced ‘light engine’.

Clients may choose from a range of different

finishes, beam angles, lumen outputs, colour

temperatures, bezel designs and colours.

EcoLED ZEP2 - Darklight in White (see page 20 for specification)

The EngineA beautifully designed unique alloy heat sink

allows efficient transfer of heat from the highly

efficient LED array. Interchangeable and

compatible reflectors, bezels and glass allow

easy assembly or alteration and forms the basis

of the complete range of ZEP 2 modules.

The ZEP 2 range ensures consistent high

performance output and colour whilst offering

different personalities for your lighting schemes.

This plaster-in trimless design offers variable

housing ‘pod’ is screwed or attached with
