Where You Fit Into The Pay Grid Chart

The letter here indicates the number of years of education, in this case 4 years.

The step you are indicates the number of years of completed service, in this case 2.

Your annual salary, before deductions,which should match the pay grid chart –if you are a full-time, salary teacher.

D equals 4 years of university as determined by Teacher Qualifications Services. Additionally, E = 5 and F = 6. Be certain to check this.

The “Rate” is important to payroll administration and can be ignored.

For full-time teachers, thesenumbers should remain the sameduring any one school year. They are adjusted annually to reflect ATA budget changes and pension plan requirements. For part-time teachers,these rates are pro-rated.
