Introduction
-. Cornstalk is a potential inexpensive source of quality fiber that can be used in paper industry for quality paper products and fiber board. -. Cornstalk offers the most promising fiber source which contains very little and/or no silica in the fiber matrix.
-. Cornstalks are not at all used in pulp and paper industry, although nearly 284 million tons/year are available worldwide, including 130 million tons/year in China.

Compared to the wood pulp, the corn pulp has more cellulose and less lignin and appropriate to paper manufacturing. Its fiber length is a little longer than the hardwood and its yield (45-55%) is almost the same when our chemical pulping methods are applied.
