Father, Creator God,You sent your Word, Jesus Christ, to reveal your love and compassion

to the world; you have called us to be his disciples, true images of your beloved Son,

proclaiming his Gospel to all creation. His story is now our story.

Keep us faithful to what we have received, and generous in our sharing.

Holy Father, we thank you also for the gift of the Holy Spiritwhom you sent to sanctify and bless all you have created

and be the bond of love that unites all of us with you and your Son.Send forth your Spirit upon us now.

Purify our hearts and make us attentive to your promptingsthat we may be true missionaries in the digital world.

Grant us the humility to seek you above and before all other thingsthat all we say and do may be done in your name and for your glory.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

For a long while, our content problems were hard

problems and nobody wanted to confront them.

But as far back as the monks, good designers have

always concerned themselves with content however

difficult it was.

So let’s not think about our pages of content anymore,

let’s think about bits of content.

Let’s think about stories as collections of resources,

meta data & links that never have a beginning, middle

and end.

Let’s think of our stories as adaptive.

Mark Boulton

There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know.

I have 10 minutes of downtime.

Help me fill it with something

that actually means something

• What is the best way to deliver to your

communities?

• Are you doing such an outstanding job of satisfying

communities' needs that people will pay ?

Good enough for communities to pay for ?

Fit of existing product: improve, adapt, release

new products:

– different jobs for your communities

– perhaps a new community altogether?

Page 19: ECPA #PubU12 October 2012

no silos

platforms = production

creating new

capabilities

– internally and/or

externally

– collaboration

Working outputs over comprehensive input: MVP

Responding to change over following a plan

transmedia the worst current buzzword (replacing the social web or web 2.0)

media that connects with us and responds to us across every context

communities that want to participate and respond

moving towards transmedia, move away from the old ‘trance media”

it’s about telling ourselves into stories

God of connection
