Controlled by designControl is the key concept behind the

ECR 327/336. The synchronization of

the Jungheinrich 3-phase AC motor

and controller allows for the smooth,

precise movement of the truck — at the

speed you designate — even if the truck

is traveling on an incline. And unlike

comparable trucks, the ECR 327/336

allows the operator to “coast” down the

aisle during a picking operation, using

Jungheinrich’s unique ProPick / ProStop

side controls. Optimum control is also

well established, since the brake comes

on automatically when the truck is not

moving.

3-phase AC motor and controller

techno logy. The synchronized motor and

controller provide fast, easy acceleration

and industry-leading speed. The operator

also enjoys a smooth, “jerk-free” ride and

exceptional maneuverability in congested

areas and tight spaces. And, if that’s

not enough, the truck’s speed, or

“SpeedControl,” can be set to provide

a consistent travel speed — even if the

truck is traveling up or down a ramp.

AC motors also offer maintenance-related

cost savings. That’s because they are more

simply constructed than shunt-wound

motors and have less mechanical parts —

and less wear. The brake system is also

virtually wear-free since it is electro-

magne tically, rather than mechanically,

driven. Protection from harmful elements,

such as water and humidity, is another

cost-saving feature. For ultimate protection,

the truck’s motor is fully enclosed and

the controller is sealed.

slide” construction and an optional

roller design. Three separate drive program options

hours display and service-related

information.

Additional productivity enhancersAnother result of the motor-controller

combination is the truck’s power-

regenerative brak ing system. By recycling

this energy, the truck’s battery can last

up to three shifts — and sometimes

even more. The ECR 327/336 is designed

to carry a 750 Ah battery with full

capacity, dramatically boosting the

truck’s operating hours and drastically

reducing its downtime.

Convenient side controlsThe ProPick / ProStop controls located on

both sides of the truck allow the operator

to easily and conveniently manage the

truck’s motion (forward, stop). Since it’s

reported that operators can pick more

than 6,000 orders per shift, it’s safe

to say that this feature alone could

save approximately 2,000 of the steps

necessary to fulfill these orders. Why?

Because the operator does not have to

step up to the drive switch in the tiller

handle each time the truck needs to be

moved – resulting in fewer steps and less

operator fatigue.

Precision coast controlThe coast control lever on the tiller

handle is not only easy to use, but

allows the maximum coast distance to

be programmed (max. 30 ft.) so that it’s

appropriate to the picking operation and

the comfort and ability of the operator.

Programmable travel parametersYou can set and adjust the travel

parameters for each picking operation

or each operator’s unique abilities. The

parameters include acceleration, top

speed, walkie speed and the maximum

travel distance during coast.

The work platform is larger and more

comfortable than anything operators

have experienced before — especially

if the truck is offered with the optional

suspended floor mat in either a rubber

or anti-slip surface for wet or cold

environments. There’s also extra foot

space where the sides of the truck body

stop short of the platform, resulting in

less body twisting and spine alignment

problems when the operator faces

forward.

of ergonomics to the operator’s

overall performance. For example, only

Jungheinrich angles the drive tiller so

that the operator experiences a more

comfortable and natural grip. Even the

motorcycle-style throttle provides a more

natural range of motion — with minimal

strain placed on the operator’s hands

and wrists.

Unbeatable Attention to Ergonomics

Comfort features add to operator confidence.

Control mattersThe emergency stop button on the

ECR 327/ 336 is designed to not only

stop the truck immediately, but to move

it forward a short distance, just in case

the operator is pinned against a solid

surface.

A unique and standard offering on

the ECR 327/ 336 is the torsion bar. It

integrates the movement of the wheel

casters so the truck is far more stable. It

won’t rock on uneven surfaces, it won’t

lean in turns, and should a caster run off

a ramp, the torsion bar will not allow the

caster to drop down to meet the floor

(which would normally damage it). The

casters also have 360° toe guards, and

for added protection, they do not extend

beyond the truck body.

To help protect the operator, the solid

metal tiller arm is cushioned with rubber.

When released, it won’t cause the

jerky “stop / go” sequence of movement

found on other trucks. Optional rubber

“knee pads” cushion any contact that

the operator’s legs might have with the

truck body.

piece of equipment. Heavier than any

other truck of its kind, the forks are made

of solid steel bar stock, rather than the

more commonly used rolled steel plate.

In addition, a special XAR® steel is used

in critical locations on the undercarriage.

This provides extra protection when

working on dock boards and ramps.

For added durability and strength, all

critical impact points on the truck are

reinforced.

The truck’s drive wheel is oversized at

13.5 inches for less wear and improved

grade performance. The tiller arm is

completely metal and cushioned with

rubber. The all-metal tiller head sports

a durable plastic cover for easy service

access.

Easily maintainedBattery changes are easy on the

ECR 327/ 336, since the battery rolls

right out of the truck. The brakes have

non-wear discs — so there are no brake

shoes to change. The 3-phase AC drive

motor has no contactors or carbon brushes,

making it virtually maintenance-free.

And, both the motor and the controller

are fully enclosed and protected against

harmful outside elements such as water,

condensation and humidity.
