9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding- type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.

10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

12. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or other unit specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.

13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in anyway, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

Introduction


For over 40 years EDEN has been designing and manufacturing bass equipment for the discerning bass player.

Our mission has always been to offer the best possible equipment with the most useable features while continuing to develop new technology.

At EDEN we like to look at bass a little differently from everyone else, so instead of asking what is it about our amplifiers that people love, we ask what could we do to make our amplifiers more fun, more intuitive and more flexible, but retain the famous EDEN tone. Working alongside musicians, touring techs, and some very influential producers EDEN has sought to find out how and why people use the equipment they use and combine all of the elements people really want in a professional product.

The TerraNova range from EDEN offers a new and exciting range of amplification, combining traditional tested tone creation with new manufacturing technologies to provide an amplifier solution for every style of player. We hope you enjoy your new amplifier as much as we have enjoyed designing it.

For best results, pair with your TerraNova amplifier with the TerraNova cabinet range to maximize your response and get the optimal sound from your rig. Alternatively why not try one of our D-Series cabinets with adjustable tweeter control for exceptional tone definition. TerraNova Combos boast all of the same features as TerraNova heads with the benefit of an integrated speaker cabinet, tuned and ported for optimum output.


Before You Plug In

Before you plug in or use your amplifier please ensure you know how to correctly operate your unit. Incorrect operation or installation may lead to undesirable results or unit failure which can be avoided by reading this guide.

Your amplifier or combo has been designed to ensure that it performs time and time again with consistent tone. In order to ensure your amplifier provides years of service it is important that you protect the amplifier from overheating. In order to do this you should follow a few simple rules that will help protect your investment.

1. Do not block Vents or disable Ventilation systems. Your amplifier has been designed with a ventilation system that allows air to circulate over internal components inside the amplifier. in some cases (depending on the model) your amplifier may also be fitted with a fan to provide additional cooling. Vent holes and fans are designed to ensure your amplifier can perform to its maximum capacity for the longest time. Blocking and vent holes or disabling any fans that may be fitted will not only void your warranty, but will almost certainly reduce the life of your amplifier.

2. Correct Loading: In order to get the most power and performance from your amplifier you should use a 4 Ohm load with your amplifier. EDEN combos are pre loaded with 4 Ohm speaker solutions so you will get the maximum power right out of the box. When choosing Speakers for EDEN TerraNova heads you should think about what impedance rig your will use. 2x 8 Ohm cabinets will provide a 4 Ohm rig, but if you are only using a single cabinet your are best to opt for a 4 Ohm single cabinet.

Remember using a load below 4 Ohms will cause stress on the amplifier, so always make sure your minimum total load never drops below 4 Ohms.

If you are unsure about any about rig impedances or anything else to do with your amplifier speak to the store where you bought it from, they will be more than happy to provide you with advice.

Caution!


The equipment you have purchased has been developed to provide you with a tool to achieve great tone and in some cases deliver levels of volume that may be unsuitable for use in confined spaces or without hearing protection.

Every piece of EDEN equipment is designed to perform exceptionally and just as with other high performance products can in certain situations be capable of operating at levels that may be outside of the requirements or capability of the user.

Use this equipment safely and considerately, the volume control on higher Wattage amplifiers is your responsibility. Your ears and those of others who are fortunate enough to hear you play are your most important instruments required to enjoy your music.

If you experience any hearing loss or discomfort when listening to any loud music or activity which involves excessive noise then for your own sake speak with a medical professional. As a musician keeping your ears in good working order is as important as being able to play your instrument, you only get one set of ears!

These features are the same across all TerraNova amplifier and combos.

1. Active Input: Plug your active or high output bass in here.

2. Passive Input: Plug your passive or low output bass here.

3. Mute LED: When the amplifier is muted this light will illuminate.

4. Mute Switch: Press this switch to mute and unmute the amplifier.

5. Compressor Light: This LED will illuminate when the compressor feature is switched on.

6. Compressor Switch: Use this switch to turn the built in compressor circuit off and on.

7. Input Gain: Use this control to adjust the amount of signal sent into the preamp stage. Use in conjunction with the Input Gain clip light to avoid clipping the input stage of the amplifier.

8. Input Gain Clip Light: When illuminated this LED shows clipping is occurring in the preamp. To prevent this either turn down the output of your instrument, or dial the Input Gain to a lower setting.

9. Enhance: Use this control to adjust the amount of Enhance added to your EQ setting. This EQ sweep allows quick and effective

adjustment of your EQ with a single dial. For best results use the Enhance control with all other EQ settings at 12 O’clock before detailing your tone.

10. Enhance Light: When illuminated this LED indicates the Enhance feature in the amplifier is turned on.

11. Bass: Adjust the low frequencies of the amplifier using this control.

12. Bass Boost Switch: Use this switch to turn on the Bass boost feature on the amplifier. When engaged the Bass control will provide more pronounced Bass adjustment.

13. Bass Boost Light: when illuminated this LED indicated the Bass boost feature is turned on.

14. Low Mid Freq Sweep: Adjust the frequency affected by the Low Mid control from 30 Hz up to 300 Hz using this control.

15. Low Mid Control: Change the amount of frequency adjustment by the low mid freq sweep using this dial.

16. Hi Mid Level Control: Adjust the frequency affected by the upper mid freq sweep using this control.

17. Hi Mid Freq Sweep: Adjust the frequency affected by the Hi Mid control from 200 Hz up to 2000 Hz using this control.

18. Treble: adjust the highest frequencies on the amplifier using this control

19. EQ clip light: When illuminated this LED indicates the EQ stage of the amplifier is casing the amp to clip. To avoid clipping adjust the frequency controls until the light remains off.

20. Master: Use this Control to adjust the overall output volume of the amplifier.

21. Master Clip light: This LED will illuminate if anything causes the power amp to clip. if the power amp is clipping adjust your settings to prevent the light coming on.

22. Logo: Eden illuminated logo: this logo will illuminate when the amplifier is switched on.

The overall layout on the rear of TerraNova head and combo units may vary, but the overall feature set remains the same.

Just remember that if you intend on using alternative cabinets with your combo amplifier you should first unplug the cable that connects the internal 4 Ohm speaker, and always ensure the correct load is used with the amplifier.

1. Power Inlet: Plug your supplied power cord into your Eden amplifier using this mains inlet socket. Always ensure the power you are using is the correct voltage as shown on the amplifier itself.

2. Power Switch: Turn the amplifier off and on using this switch. Speaker Outputs: your amplifier or combo is fitted with 3 speaker output sockets. 2 of the sockets are 1/4” Jack sized and 1 is a Clear Speakon type socket. Use either the single speakon (with a 4 Ohm cabinet for full power) or up to 2 sockets in combination. NEVER use all 3 sockets at the same time and always ensure your minimum total load for the entire rig is no less than 4 ohms. Your amplifier is also designed to operate with no load, for either playing using headphones, using the amplifier in a studio, or as a preamplifier in a performance.

3. Speaker 1 out: Connect your unit to a speaker cabinet via a 1/4” Jack cable to this socket.

4. Speaker 2 out: Connect your unit to a speaker cabinet via a 1/4” Jack cable to this socket.

5. Speaker 3 out: Connect your unit to a speaker cabinet via a Speakon cable to this socket.

6. Headphone Out: Connect your headphones here using standard 3.5mm headphone cable.

7. MP3 / Line in: connect and external device using a 3.5mm jack cable here.

8. DI Ground Lift: Lift ground from your signal (when required) using this switch.

9. DI Pad: Pad the signal (reduce the output level) between line level and mic level using this switch.

10. DI Pre / Post Select: Chose to take the DI signal from either before or after the preamp shaping circuit inside the amplifier.

Avant de vous brancher

Avant d’allumer votre baffle assurer vous d’avoir bien suivi toutes les recommandations qui suivront. Une manipulation ou installation incorrecte pourrait endommager irrémédiablement votre produit.

Votre baffle a été conçu afin de vous en servir durant de très longues années, il est donc important que vous le protégiez de la surchauffe. Pour ce faire, suivez ces quelques règles simples qui vous permettront de protéger votre produit.

1. Ne pas bloquer les sorties d’air ou éteindre le système de ventilation. Votre produit a été conçu avec un système de ventilation qui permet à l’air de circuler dans tout l’appareil. Les sorties d’air permettent d’évacuer l’air ventilé à l’intérieur et donc d’éviter la surchauffe de vos composants. Bloquer ces sorties réduira la durée de vie de votre appareil mais annulera aussi votre garantie.

2. Vérifier l’impédance. Lorsque vous configurez votre baffle avec votre amplificateur, bien vérifier que le baffle ou la combinaison de plusieurs baffles possèdent une alimentation optimale leurs permettant de travailler avec l’amplificateur. Pour information, lorsque vous choisissez un baffle, ce dernier doit posséder la même puissance nominale que la sortie de l’amplificateur choisi, à pleine puissance. Lorsque vous choisissez des amplis ou des têtes il faut penser à quelle impédance vous devez utiliser pour votre système. Des baffles 2x8 Ohms nécessiteront un système 4 ohms. Si vous n’utilisez qu’un seul baffle il vaut mieux opter pour une impédance 4 ohms.

N’oubliez pas, si vous avez une charge totale en dessous de 4 ohms, vous risquez d’endommager votre ampli. Assurez-vous donc de ne jamais descendre sous 4 ohms. Si vous n’êtes pas sûr que le système que vous allez utiliser respecte ces normes, n’hésitez pas à demander des renseignements au magasin qui vous l’a vendu, ils seront plus qu’heureux de vous fournir des conseils.

L’équipement que vous avez acheté a été développé pour vous fournir un outil donnant un grand son et dans certains cas, il peut produire des niveaux de volume inadaptés à l’utilisation dans des espaces confinés ou sans protection auditive.

Chaque pièce d’un équipement Eden est conçue pour des prestations exceptionnelles et comme avec tout autre produit à hautes performances, les niveaux de fonctionnement possibles peuvent dépasser les besoins ou les capacités de l’utilisateur.

Utilisez cet équipement de façon sûre et avisée, la commande de volume des amplificateurs à haute puissance est sous votre responsabilité. Vos oreilles et celles des autres personnes qui ont la chance de pouvoir vous écouter jouer sont les instruments les plus importants pour apprécier votre musique.

Si vous ressentez une quelconque perte auditive ou un inconfort lorsque vous écoutez n’importe quelle musique forte ou lors d’activités impliquant un bruit excessif, alors consultez un spécialiste médical. En tant que musicien, maintenir vos oreilles en bon état de fonctionnement est aussi important que de pouvoir jouer de vos instruments, vous n’avez qu’un seul jeu d’oreilles !

Ces spécificités sont présentes sur tous les amplis et combos de la gamme Terra Nova.

1. Entrée Active: brancher la sortie active de votre Basse ici

2. Entrée Passive: brancher la sortie passive de votre Basse ici

3. LED Mute: quand l’ampli est en fontion Mute , la LED est allumée

4. Bouton Mute: enfoncer ce bouton pour activer ou désactiver la fonction Mute

5. LED Compresseur: lorsque la LED est allumée, cela signifie que le compresseur est enclenché

6. Bouton Compresseur: enfoncer ce bouton pour activer ou désactiver le compresseur

7. Gain d’entrée: utiliser ce potentiomètre pour ajuster le gain d’entrée de l’ampli

8. LED de clip Gain d’entrée: quand cette dernière s’allume, cela signifie que vous êtes en train de saturer le préampli. Baissez immédiatement le gain de sortie de votre basse ou le gain d’entrée de l’ampli afin que cette dernière ne s’allume plus

9. Mode Enhance: utiliser le potentiomètre pour définir le taux que vous souhaitez envoyer dans votre paramètre d’égalisation. Cela vous permet de régler rapidement et efficacement votre EQ. Pour de meilleur résultat, utiliser ce mode lorsque tous les paramètres des autres égalisations sont à 12h

10. LED Mode Enhance: lorsque ce mode est activé, la LED est allumée

11. Bass: vous permet d’ajuster les fréquences graves de votre ampli

12. Bouton Bass Boost: activez ce paramètre pour augmenter la présence des basses

13. LED Bass Boost: cette LED indique que le mode Bass Boost est activé

14. Low Mid Freq Sweep: avec ce contrôle, vous pourrez ajuster les fréquences se situant entre 30 - 300 Hz

La disposition générale sur l’arrière des têtes ou combos peut varier, mais les fonctionnalités sont les mêmes.

Pour rappel, si vous utilisez un baffle alternatif, veillez-bien à débrancher dans un premier temps le haut-parleur interne 4 ohms puis vérifier que votre baffle délivre l’impédance nécessaire pour l’ampli.

1. Alimentation: branchez votre cordon d’alimentation fourni avec votre amplificateur. Toujours s’assurer que la tension correspond à ce que peut supporter votre ampli.

2. Bouton ON/OFF: allumer ou éteindre l’ampli via ce bouton. Sorties Haut-parleurs; votre amplis ou combo est équipée de 3 sorties haut-parleurs. Deux de ces sorties sont en Jack 1/4” et une en Speakon. Utilisez soit la sortie Speakon (avec un baffle 4 ohms) ou les deux prises Jack. NE JAMAIS utiliser les 3 sorties en même temps et toujours veillez que l’impédance de charge de votre système, ne descende pas sous 4 ohms. Votre ampli peut aussi fonctionner sans charge, par exemple en utilisant un casque ou en studio ou lorsqu’il est utilisé en préamplificateur.

8. Bouton Ground/Lift: permet de couper la masse entre les circuits d’entrée et de sortie. Cela permet de faire face à une éventuelle boucle de masse.

10. Di Pre / Post: choisissez entre le signal DI avant/après le préampli, avant de l’injecter dans l’ampli.

11. Sortie Di: utilisez un câble standard XLR pour relier cette sortie à une table de mixage, des enceintes de diffusion ou un système d’enregistrement.

12. Loop Send: envoyez votre signal vers un effet ou autres équipements externes.

13. Loop Return: renvoyez votre signal depuis un équipement externe ou un effet.

Vor dem Einschalten

Bevor Sie Ihr Gerät zum ersten Mal einschalten, machen Sie sich bitte zunächst mit der Bedienung vertraut. Fehler bei der Inbetriebnahme und Bedienung können unerwünschte Ergebnisse zur Folge haben und im Extremfall das Gerät beschädigen.

Die Verstärker der Terra Nova Serie wurden so konzipiert, dass sie immer wieder und über einen langen Zeitraum funktionieren. Um sicherzustellen, dass die Leistungsfähigkeit Ihrer Box über Jahre erhalten bleibt, ist es wichtig, dass Sie einige einfache aber wichtige Regeln befolgen, um Ihre Neuanschaffung vor Überhitzung zu schützen.

1. Ihr Verstärker wurde so designt, dass Luft über die innenliegenden Komponenten zirkulieren kann. Einige Verstärker (modellabhängig) sind außerdem für eine zusätzliche Kühlung mit Ventilatoren ausgestattet. Die Lüfter und Lüftungsöffnungen tragen dazu bei, dass Ihrem Verstärker sein Maximum an Leistungsfähigkeit möglichst lange erhalten bleibt. Das Blockieren der Lüftungsöffnungen führt nicht nur zum Verlust der Garantie, sondern verringert auch die Lebenszeit Ihres Verstärkers!

2. Korrekte Impedanzwahl: Um die größtmögliche Leistung zu erhalten, sollten Sie eine 4 Ohm Box in Kombination mit Ihrem Verstärker benutzen. EDEN Combos sind bereits mit 4 Ohm Lautsprechern bestückt, so erhalten Sie schon mit dem Auspacken die bestmögliche Leistung. Bei der Auswahl der Lautsprecher für die EDEN Terra Nova Topteile sollten Sie beachten, mit welcher Impedanz Sie Ihr Setup betreiben wollen. 2x 8 Ohm Boxen bilden ein 4 Ohm Setup, wenn Sie allerdings eine einzelne Box benutzen wollen, sollten Sie eine 4 Ohm Einzelbox wählen.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass ein Lastwiderstand von weniger als 4 Ohm eine unnötige Beanspruchung Ihres Verstärkers verursacht. Stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass die Gesamtbelastung ein Minimum von 4 Ohm niemals unterschreitet.

Alle Geräte der Terra Nova Serie bieten am Frontpanel dieselben Bedienelemente.

1. Active Input: Schließen Sie hier aktive Instrumente oder Instrumente mit hohem Ausgangspegel an.

8. Input Gain Clip Light: Diese Anzeige signalisiert Ihnen, sobald das Eingangssignal in den Bereich der Verzerrung gerät (Clipping). Um dem Clipping vorzubeugen, reduzieren Sie die Ausgangslautstärke Ihres Instruments oder den Eingangspegel des Verstärkers.

9. Enhance: Regelt den Anteil der Enhance-Funktion an Ihrer EQ-Einstellung. Dieser EQ Sweep erlaubt eine schnelle und

effektive Einstellung des Equalizers mit nur einem Regler. Für bestmögliche Ergebnisse nutzen Sie den Enhance-Regler in Kombination mit allen anderen EQ Einstellungen in der 12 Uhr Stellung, bevor Sie Ihren Sound feinjustieren.

10. Enhance Light: Diese LED leuchtet, wenn die Enhance-Funktion aktiviert ist.

11. Bass: Mit diesem Regler stellen Sie die tiefen Frequenzen Ihrens Verstärkers ein.

12. Bass Boost Switch: Aktiviert den Bass-Boost Ihres Verstärkers. Wenn dieser Schalter aktiviert ist, ermöglicht der Bass Control Regler eine stärker ausgeprägte Basseinstellung.

13. Bass Boost Light: Diese LED leuchtet, wenn der Bass Boost aktiviert ist.

14. Low Mid Freq Sweep: Hier definieren Sie die Frequenz, die vom Low Mid Regler beeinflusst wird. Regelbar von 30 Hz bis 300 Hz.

15. Low Mid Control: Regelt den Anteil der Frequenz, die mit dem Low Mid Freq Sweep eingestellt wurde.

16. Hi Mid Level Control: Regelt den Anteil der Frequenz, die mit dem Hi Mid Freq Sweep eingestellt wurde.

17. Hi Mid Freq Sweep: Hier definieren Sie die Frequenz, die vom Hi Mid Regler beeinflusst wird. Regelbar von 200 Hz bis 2 kHz.

18. Treble: Mit diesem Regler stellen Sie die hohen Frequenzen Ihres Verstärkers ein.

19. EQ Clip Light: Diese Leuchte zeigt Ihnen an, dass die EQ-Einstellung zur Übersteuerung des Verstärkers führt. Um der Übersteuerung vorzubeugen, passen Sie die einzelnen Frequenzregler an, bis die Leuchte erlischt.

20. Master: Stellen Sie mit diesem Regler die Gesamtlautstärke des Verstärkers ein.

21. Master Clip Light: Diese LED leuchtet, wenn die Endstufe des

Verstärkers übersteuert wird. Falls die Endstufe übersteuert, passen Sie Ihre Einstellungen bitte solange an, bis die Leuchte wieder erlischt.

22. EDEN Logo: Dieses Logo leuchtet, wenn der Verstärker eingeschaltet ist.

Das allgemeine Layout auf der Rückseite kann zwischen Terra Nova Topteil und Combo variieren, die Funktionen bleiben aber identisch.

Bitte bedenken Sie: Wenn Sie beabsichtigen, andere Boxen mit Ihrem Comboverstärker zu benutzen, sollten Sie zuerst das Kabel der internen 4 Ohm Lautsprecher ziehen. Stellen Sie bitte sicher, dass die korrekte Impedanz angeschlossen ist.

1. Power Inlet: Schließen Sie hier das mitgelieferte Netzkabel an. Bitte stellen Sie immer sicher, dass die Spannung anliegt, die auf dem Verstärker selbst abzulesen ist.

2. Power Switch: Mit diesem Schalter schalten Sie den Verstärker Ein und Aus. Speaker Outputs; Ihr Verstärker besitzt 3 Lautsprecheranschlüsse, 2 davon sind für 6,3 mm Klinkenkabel vorgesehen, 1 Ausgang ist ein reiner Speakon-Anschluss. Nutzen Sie entweder den Speakon-Anschluss mit einer 4 Ohm Box, um die volle Leistung zu erhalten, kombinieren Sie maximal 2 Anschlüsse. Nutzen Sie NIEMALS alle 3 Anschlüsse zugleich und vergewissern Sie sich, dass die minimale Last 4 Ohm nicht unterschreitet! Ihr Verstärker kann auch ohne Lastwiderstand entweder mit Kopfhörern, im Studio oder als PreAmp genutzt werden.

3. Speaker 1 Out: Schließen Sie hier Ihre Box mit einem 6,3 mm Boxenkabel an.

4. Speaker 2 Out: Schließen Sie hier Ihre Box mit einem 6,3 mm Boxenkabel an.

5. Speaker 3 Out: Schließen Sie hier Ihre Box mit einem Speakon-Kabel an.

6. Headphone Out: Schließen Sie hier Ihren Kopfhörer mit einem 3,5 mm Miniklinkenkabel an.

7. MP3 / Line in: Schließen Sie hier ein externes Gerät mit einem 3,5 mm Miniklinkenkabel an.

8. Di Ground Lift: Drehen Sie mit diesem Schalter die Phase Ihres Signals (wenn erforderlich!).

9. Di Pad: Dieser Schalter passt Unterschiede zwischen Line Level und Mic Level an. (Reduzieren Sie die Ausgangslautstärke!)

En EDEN nos gusta ofrecer a los bajistas algo diferente al resto de marcas. No nos conformamos con que a los músicos les encante el sonido de nuestros equipos. ANTES DE CONECTAR SU EQUIPO

Antes de conectar o utilizar su amplificador por favor asegúrese de que sabe cómo funciona correctamente su unidad. Una utilización o instalación incorrecta puede dar lugar a resultados no deseados o a fallos de la unidad que se pueden evitar fácilmente mediante la lectura de esta guía. Su cabezal o combo ha sido diseñado para transmitir una gran calidad de tono constante en el tiempo. Con el fin de garantizar que su amplificador funcione correctamente durante años es importante que no se sobrecaliente. Para evitarlo, usted debe seguir algunas reglas simples que ayudarán a proteger su equipo.

1. No bloquee las salidas de ventilación o desactive los sistemas de refrigeración. Su amplificador ha sido diseñado con un sistema de ventilación que permite que el aire circule sobre los componentes internos dentro de el amplificador. En algunos casos (dependiendo del modelo) el amplificador también puede ser equipado con un ventilador para proporcionar una refrigeración adicional. Los orificios de ventilación y los ventiladores están diseñados para garantizar que su amplificador pueda funcionar a pleno rendimiento durante más tiempo. A la hora de elegir una pantalla para su cabezal EDEN “Terra Nova” debe pensar en la impedancia con la que va a trabajar. 2 pantallas de 8 Ohm cada una de ellas proporcionarán una impedancia total de 4 Ohm. Si sólo va a emplear una pantalla, le recomendamos que se decante por un modelo de 4 Ohm en lugar de 8 Ohm. Nunca utilice una carga inferior a 4 Ohms. Se produciría una tensión excesiva en el amplificador. Si no está seguro acerca de los valores de impedancia de sus pantallas o cualquier otra duda en las conexiones, consulte todas las dudas que tenga en la tienda donde compró su equipo EDEN. El equipo que has comprado ha sido desarrollado para proporcionarte una herramienta que consigue un gran tono y en algunos casos grandes cantidades de volumen que pueden ser poco recomendables para su uso en espacios reducidos o sin protección auricular.

Cada pieza de los equipos de Eden se ha diseñado para funcionar de forma excepcional y como puede pasar con otros productos de este tipo, en determinadas situaciones pueden ser capaces de operar a niveles que pueden estar fuera de los requisitos de capacidad del usuario.

Utiliza este equipo de forma segura y considerada, el control de volumen en los amplificadores de gran potencia es tu responsabilidad. Tus oídos y el de los demás que tengan la fortuna de poder escucharte tocar son los instrumentos más preciados que se necesitan para poder disfrutar de tu música.

Si notaras algún tipo de pérdida de audición o molestias en el oído al escuchar cualquier tipo de música a alto volumen o hicieras alguna actividad que implique excesivo ruido, por tu propio bien acude a un médico. Como músico que eres, debes saber que cuidar tus oídos es tan importante como saber tocar tu instrumento; ¡solo tenemos un par de oídos y no hay recambio!

CONTROLES DEL PANEL FRONTAL


Las siguientes características son idénticas en todos los amplificadores y combos de la serie “Terra Nova”.

1. Entrada activa: Conecte su bajo con salida activa aquí.

2. Entrada pasiva: Conecte su bajo con salida pasiva aquí.

3. LED Silencio: Esta luz se iluminará cuando el amplificador no emita sonido alguno.

4. Interruptor Mute: Pulse este interruptor para activar y desactivar el sonido del amplificador.

5. Luz del compresor: Este LED se ilumina cuando la función de compresor está activada.

6. Cambio de Compresor: Utilice este interruptor para activar y desactivar el compresor en el circuito.

7. Ganancia: Utilice este control para ajustar la cantidad de señal enviada al preamplificador. Vigile la presencia de la luz de clip de ganancia para evitar la saturación de la etapa del amplificador.

8. Clip de luz de la ganancia: Cuando se ilumina este LED, se está produciendo un gran nivel en la señal del preamplificador y se llega a la saturación del sonido. Para evitar que esto ocurra ajuste la salida de su instrumento o baje el nivel de ganancia del amplificador.

9. Enhance: Utilice este control para ajustar la cantidad de mejora añadida a su ajuste de EQ. Este barrido de EQ permite un ajuste rápido y eficaz de su EQ de una forma sencilla. Para obtener mejores resultados, utilice el control de Enhance con el resto de ajustes de EQ a ‘las 12 en punto’.

CONTROLES DEL PANEL POSTERIOR

El diseño general de la parte posterior de los amplificadores “Terra Nova” puede variar en función de si la unidad es un combo o un cabezal. No obstante, las características generales entre ambos son similares. Recuerde que si tiene la intención de usar pantallas adicionales con su amplificador combo debe primero desconectar el cable que conecta los altavoces internos de 4 Ohm y siempre garantizar que se emplea una carga correcta en el amplificador.

1. Toma de alimentación: Conecte el cable de alimentación a su amplificador Eden utilizando esta red enchufe de entrada. Asegúrese siempre que está utilizando el voltaje correcto que muestra el propio amplificador.

2. Interruptor de encendido: Enciende el amplificador. Salidas de los altavoces: Los amplificadores están equipados con 3 tomas de salida de altavoces. 2 de las tomas son de 1/4 “Jack y 1 de ellas es de tipo Speakon. Utilice la speakon individual (con una pantalla de 4 Ohm para la máxima potencia) o hasta 2 jacks en combinación. NUNCA use las 3 tomas al mismo tiempo y siempre asegúrese de que su carga total es como mínimo de 4 ohmios. Su amplificador está diseñado también para funcionar sin carga cuando se emplean auriculares o cuando se utiliza el amplificador en un estudio, o como un preamplificador en una actuación.

3. Altavoz 1: Conecte la unidad a una caja de altavoces a través de un cable de 1/4 “Jack a esta entrada.

4. Altavoz 2: Conecte la unidad a una caja de altavoces a través de un cable de 1/4 “Jack a esta entrada.

5. Altavoz 3: Conecte la unidad a una caja de altavoces mediante un cable Speakon a esta entrada.

6. Salida de auriculares: Conecte sus auriculares aquí. Utilice un cable estándar de 3,5 mm.

7. MP3 / Line : Conecte dispositivos externos de audio en esta entrada con un cable jack de 3.5mm.

Prima di collegare

Prima di collegare o utilizzare il vostro amplificatore assicuratevi di sapere come far funzionare correttamente l’unità. Funzionamento o installazione errati potrebbero causare risultati indesiderati o guasti evitabili con la lettura di questa guida.

L’amplificatore o il combo è stato progettato per offrire prestazioni costanti nel tempo. Per garantire all’unità anni di funzionamento, è importante proteggere l’amplificatore dal surriscaldamento. Per fare questo è necessario seguire alcune semplici regole che vi aiuteranno a proteggere il vostro investimento.

1. Non ostruite le aperture nè disabilitate i sistemi di ventilazione. L’amplificatore è stato progettato con un sistema di ventilazione che consente all’aria di circolare sui componenti presenti al suo interno. In alcuni casi (a seconda del modello) l’amplificatore può disporre di una ulteriore ventola per fornire un raffreddamento supplementare. Fori di ventilazione e ventole sono progettati per garantire il funzionamento dell’amplificatore fino alla sua capacità massima per il più lungo tempo possibile. Bloccare i fori di ventilazione o disabilitare tutte le ventole, non solo invalida la garanzia, ma quasi certamente ridurrà la durata del vostro amplificatore.

2. Carico adeguato: Per ottenere il massimo dal vostro amplificatore in termini di potenza e prestazioni è necessario utilizzare un carico di 4 Ohm. I Combo EDEN sono pre-caricati con speaker da 4 ohm in modo da ottenere subito la giusta potenza massima. Al momento di scegliere gli speaker per le testate EDEN Terra Nova dovreste pensare quale impedenza userà il vostro sistema. Due cabinet da 8 Ohm forniranno alla vostra attrezzatura 4 Ohm, ma se utilizzate solo un cabinet è meglio optare per uno a 4 Ohm.

Ricordate: un carico inferiore a 4 Ohm causerà stress all’amplificatore. Assicuratevi sempre che il carico totale minimo non scenda mai sotto 4 Ohm.

In caso di dubbi riguardo le impedenze o qualsiasi altra cosa abbia a che fare con il vostro amplificatore, rivolgetevi al rivenditore presso cui avete effettuato l’acquisto: sarà più che felice di consigliarvi.

Queste caratteristiche sono comuni a tutti gli amplificatori e combo Terra Nova.

1. Active Input: Collegate qui il vostro basso attivo.

7. Input Gain: Utilizzate questo controllo per regolare la quantità di segnale inviato nella fase di preamplificazione. Utilizzatelo in combinazione con la spia di clip dell’Input Gain per evitare il clipping dello stadio di ingresso dell’amplificatore.

8. Spia Clip dell’Input Gain: Quando questo LED è acceso il preamplificatore è in clip. Per evitare questa situazione, abbassate l’uscita del vostro strumento o regolate l’Input Gain a un livello inferiore.

9. Enhance: Utilizzate questo controllo per regolare la quantità di ENHANCE aggiunta alla vostra impostazione EQ. Questo EQ-sweep permette una regolazione rapida ed efficace del vostro EQ con un’unica impostazione. Per ottenere i migliori risultati, utilizzate il controllo Enhance con tutte le altre impostazioni di equalizzazione a ore 12:00 prima di regolare il timbro.

10. Spia Enhance: Se questo LED è illuminato, la funzione Enhance è attiva.

11. Bass: Regolate con questo controllo le frequenze basse dell’amplificatore.

12. Interruttore Bass Boost: Utilizzate questo interruttore per attivare la funzione Bass Boost dell’amplificatore. Quando è inserito, il controllo Bass fornirà una regolazione dei bassi più pronunciata.

13. Spia Bass Boost: Se questo LED è illuminato, la funzione Bass Boost è attiva.

14. Low Mid Freq Sweep: Regolate le frequenze interessate dal controllo Low Mid da 30 Hz a 300 Hz utilizzando questo controllo.

19. Spia Clip EQ: Questo LED si illumina per indicare che lo stadio EQ dell’amplificatore è in clip. Per evitare il clipping regolate i

controlli della frequenza fino a quando il LED si spegnerà.

20. Master: Utilizzate questo controllo per regolare il volume di uscita generale dell’amplificatore.

21. Spia clip del Master: Questo LED si illumina per indicare che qualcosa fa andare in clip il finale di potenza. Se l’amplificatore di potenza è in clip, regolate le impostazioni per evitare che il LED si accenda.

La disposizione generale sul retro delle unità testate e combo Terra Nova può variare, ma il set di funzionalità generale rimane lo stesso.

Ricordatevi che se intendete utilizzare l’amplificatore combo con cabinet alternativi, dovreste in primo luogo scollegare il cavo che collega il diffusore a 4 Ohm interno e assicurarvi sempre che il carico utilizzato con l’amplificatore sia corretto.

1. Power Inlet - Ingresso alimentazione: collegate il cavo di alimentazione in dotazione all’amplificatore Eden usando questa presa. Assicuratevi sempre che l’alimentazione che state utilizzando sia della stessa tensione indicata sull’amplificatore.

2. Interruttore Power: accende e spegne l’amplificatore. Uscite altoparlanti (Speaker Output); l’amplificatore e il combo sono dotati di 3 prese di uscita per speaker: 2 prese jack da 1/4” e 1 una presa di tipo Clear Speakon. Utilizzate il singolo speakon (con un cabinet da 4 Ohm per la piena potenza) o fino a 2 prese in combinazione. Non utilizzate MAI 3 prese contemporaneamente e assicuratevi sempre che il vostro carico minimo complessivo per l’intero sistema non sia inferiore a 4 ohm. Il vostro amplificatore è progettato anche per funzionare senza carico, sia per l’utilizzo con cuffie o quando si utilizza l’amplificatore in studio, o come preamplificatore in una performance.

3. Speaker 1 out: per collegare la vostra unità ad un cabinet tramite un cavo jack da ¼”.

4. Speaker 2 out: per collegare la vostra unità ad un cabinet tramite un cavo jack da ¼”.

5. Speaker 3 out: per collegare la vostra unità ad un cabinet tramite un cavo Speakon.

6. Uscita Headphone: Collegate in questa presa le vostre cuffie con cavo standard da 3,5mm.

7. MP3 / Line in: Collegate in questa presa un dispositivo esterno con cavo standard da 3,5mm.

8. DI Ground Lift: Utilizzando questo interruttore attiverete la funzione Ground-Lift (quando necessaria) sul vostro segnale.

10. Selettore DI Pre / Post: Potrete scegliere se prendere il segnale dalla DI prima o dopo il circuito del preamplificatore interno all’amplificatore.

11. Uscita DI: Usando un cavo standard XLR potrete connettervi ad un mixer, un sistema FOH o un dispositivo di registrazione.

12. Loop Send: Utile per indirizzare il vostro segnale ad un processore effetti esterno.

製品を使用する前に、必ず正しい操作方法を本書で確認してください。誤った操作や接続は望ましくない動作や故障の原因と

なります。

本製品は長期間に渡り安全に使用出来るように設計されていますが、過熱によるダメージからアンプを守ることはとても重要で

す。末永くご愛用頂くためには、必ず下記のルールをお守りください。

1.通気孔を塞がないでください。本製品はアンプ内部の換気ができるように設計されています。モデルによっては、更に冷却機

能を高めるようにファンが追加されています。通気孔やファンは、製品が長時間に渡り最大能力で動作できるように搭載されて

います。通気孔を塞いだり、ファンを無効化することは製品の寿命を縮めるだけでなく、保証対象外となります。

2.本製品の最大性能を引き出すには4Ωのインピーダンス（抵抗値）で接続する必要があります。コンボタイプには4Ωのスピー

カーが搭載されていますので、そのままの状態で最大性能を引き出すことができます。アンプヘッドは4Ω×１台または８Ω×２

台のスピーカーキャビネットを接続することで最大性能を引き出すことができます。8Ω×1台でも使用できますが、出力は低下し

ます。4Ω×2台や4Ω＋8Ωの組み合わせでは使用できません。

注意：本製品の最小インピーダンスは4Ωで設計されており、それ以下で接続/使用するとアンプに過剰な負荷がかかり故障の

原因となります。接続するスピーカーキャビネットの抵抗値が合計4Ω以下になっていないことを確認してください。

接続するスピーカーキャビネットの抵抗値が不明な場合は、国内販売元またはご購入店へご相談ください。

リアパネル機能

Terra Novaアンプヘッドとコンボアンプでは一部配置が異なりますが、機能は同一です。

重要：コンボアンプに別のスピーカーキャビネットを接続する場合は、まず内蔵スピーカーの接続を外し、その後正しいインピー

ダンス（合計4Ω以上）であることが確認されているスピーカーキャビネットを接続してください。

1. 電源インレット：付属の電源ケーブルを接続します。本製品は100V仕様です。

2. 電源スイッチ：アンプの電源をON/OFFします。

スピーカー出力について：アンプヘッド/コンボアンプ共に3つのスピーカー出力端子（２つの1/4“フォン端子と1つのスピコ

ン端子）があり、最大２つまで同時使用できます。絶対に３つの端子全てにスピーカーを接続しないでください。また接続す

るスピーカーキャビネットのインピーダンスが合計4Ω以上であることを確認してください。尚、本製品はスピーカーを接続せ

ずに、ヘッドホン・アンプやプリアンプとしての使用も可能です。

3. スピーカー出力1：1/4“フォン端子のスピーカーケーブルでスピーカーキャビネットを接続します。

在你插上乐器或是使用箱头之前，请确保已经了解如何正确地操作你的设备。不当的操作或安装可能会导致不良的后果

或是设备故障，所以为了避免此类问题的发生请仔细阅读本指南。

你的箱头和一体箱在设计上已经确保了能在长久的使用中保持稳定的音色。为了确保你的箱头能长期地工作，很重要的

一点就是确保箱头不要过热。要做到这一点并保护你的宝贵投资，只需遵循以下几条简单的规则：

１.切勿堵塞通风口或禁用通风系统。你的箱体有一个通风系统，它可以让空气在箱体内部的零部件之间循环流动。在

有些情况下（取决于型号）箱体会配置一只风扇来提供额外的散热能力。通风口和风扇是用来确保箱头有最长久的使用

寿命并发挥出最大的效能。堵塞通风口或禁用风扇不仅会让产品的保修失效，还会不可避免地减少箱头的使用寿命。

２.正确的负载：为了从你的箱头上获得最大的功率和性能，应该与箱头搭配使用一个４欧姆的负载。EDEN一体箱已经

配置好了一个４欧姆的扬声器，所以这些一体箱上手就可以为你带来最大的功率。当为EDEN Terra　Nova箱头选择扬声

器时，你必须考虑到你要使用的配置的阻抗。两只８欧姆箱体可以提供一个４欧姆的配置，但是如果你只使用单个箱体

的话，最好是选择一个４欧姆阻抗的箱体。

请记住使用一个低于４欧姆的负载会让箱头工作负担过重，所以请确保最小的总负载永远不要低于４欧姆。

这些功能在所有的Terra　Nova箱头和一体箱上都是一样的。

1. 主动拾音器输入：在这里插上带主动拾音器或是大功率输出的贝斯。

2. 被动拾音器输入：在这里插上带被动拾音器或是小功率输出的贝斯。

3. 静音LED指示灯：当箱头处于静音状态时这个指示灯会亮起。

4. 静音开关：按下这个开关可以将箱头静音和取消静音。

5. 压缩器指示灯：当压缩器被打开时这个LED指示灯就会亮起。

6. 压缩器开关：用这个开关来打开或关闭内置的压缩电路。

7. 输入增益：利用这个控制旋钮来调节送到前置放大级的信号大小。与输入增益过载指示灯结合使用就可以避免箱头输入级的过载产生。

8. ８. 输入增益过载指示灯：当这个LED指示灯亮起时就表示前置放大级有过载产生。为了避免这个问题的产生，可以减小乐器的输出音量或是将输入增益调小一些。

9. 强化功能：通过这个控制旋钮来调节给均衡设定添加的强化效果的大小。这个均衡扫频功能可以通过一个旋钮实现快速有效的均衡调节。为了获得最佳的效果，请在对音色进行细致调节之前将其它的均衡设定都打在１２点钟的位置，在此状态下来使用这个强化控制旋钮。

10. 强化功能指示灯：当这个LED指示灯亮起时就表示箱头的强化功能被打开了。

11. 低频：用这个控制旋钮来调节箱头的低频部分。

12. １２低频提升开关：用这个开关来打开箱头的低频提升功能。当这个功能被启用时，低频控制旋钮能带来更显著的低频调节效果。

13. １３.低频提升指示灯：当这个指示灯亮起时就表示低频提升功能已被打开。

14. 低中频扫频：在30 Hz 到300 Hz范围内利用这个旋钮来调节低中频控制旋钮所影响的频率。

15. 低中频控制：利用这个旋钮来调节低中频的电平大小。

16. 高中频电平控制：利用这个控制旋钮来调节中高频的电平大小。

17. 低中频扫频：在200 Hz 到2KHz范围内利用这个旋钮来调节低中频控制旋钮所影响的频率。

18. １７.高频：利用这个控制旋钮来调节箱头上最高频率部分的电平大小。

19. 均衡过载指示灯：当这个LED指示灯亮起时就表示箱头的均衡部分出现过载了。为了避免这个问题的产生，请调节电平

Terra Nova箱头和一体箱的背板布局也许会有不同，但是整体功能还是一样的。

请记住如果你打算在一体箱的功放上使用另外的箱体，则必须先拔下连接内部４欧姆扬声器的连接线，另外还必须确保

与功放搭配使用的是正确的负载。

1. 电源插口：将附带的电源线插到这个电源插口上。请确保你使用的是与箱头上标示的一样的电压。

2. 电源开关：用这个开关来打开或关闭箱头。

扬声器输出：你的箱头或一体箱配置有３个扬声器输出插孔。其中两个是１／４英寸插口，另一个是Clear Speakon

类型的插口。可以只使用单个的Speakon插口（４欧姆箱体可以获得满功率），也可以最多将两个插口结合起来使

用。切勿同时使用３个插口，并且还要确保整个配置的最小总负载不能低于４欧姆。箱头的设计是可以在无负载的

情况下工作，比如在演奏时使用耳机的时候，或是在录音棚里当成前置放大器使用的时候。

3. 扬声器输出１：通过一根１／４英寸连接线将一个扬声器箱体接到这个插口。

4. 扬声器输出２：通过一根１／４英寸连接线将一个扬声器箱体接到这个插口。

5. 扬声器输出３：通过一根Speakon连接线将一个扬声器箱体接到这个插口。

6. 耳机输出：通过一根标准的带３.５毫米插头的耳机线将你的耳机接到这个插口。

7. MP３／线路输入：通过一根带３.５毫米插头的连接线将外部设备接到这个插口。

8. DI接地断开开关：在需要时利用这个开关断开信号的接地。

9. DI衰减：利用这个开关在线路电平和话筒电平之间衰减信号（减小输出电平）。
