editing practice

We had to edit footage on Adobe Premiere of somebody making a cup of tea. There are multiple shots of him doing the same thing over on some takes so we had to cut and edit that and then make sure everything went together correctly and didn’t look too edited. The first one started with Chris walking into the room and ended with the tea just finished being stirred. We don’t show the transition from him making the tea, to putting the tea bag in and then taking it out etc. It’s just straight cuts. Here I had to watch the footage and then select the part I wanted to use. I chose what part I wanted to use by selecting it with the two markers as you can see. I then had to drag the selected footage down to the bar and then view it in the other window where all of my selected footage will play, as you can see below.

I had to repeat this for each clip. I then dragged them down to

the bar and when done previewed it. Once I was happy with my edit I had to render and then export my footage to YouTube and then on to Blogger. I now feel a lot more confident using Adobe Premiere after practicing editing for my own film.
