EditingProfilesinourclassblog–COMM5704Ourfirstassignment inthisunit involveseditingourprofile(addingimageandwritingafewwordsaboutourselves)inourclassblog.Thistasktakesonlyafewsimplesteps.1.Gotoourclassbloghttp://blogs.uwa.edu.au/comm5704.Whenyouscrolldown you will see Profiles section with your basic profile (your name and agenericSantaimage)alreadysetupforyou.TheseprofilesaregeneratedinourWordPressblog’sDashboard(backend)asProjects.2.Login.Weneedtologintoourblognextandeditourproject(profile).Bythistimeyoushouldhavereceivedanemailwithalinkwhichmakesyouaneditorofourblog’scontent(click it toaccept the invitationandsetupyourpassword ifyou are new to UWABlogs – no need to create a blog if asked. Existing UWABlogsuserswillsimplylogintotheblog).

3.GotoDashboard(this is thebackendoftheblog).Youcanselectitfromthetopmenuasshownintheimagebelow.

4.GotoProjects.OnthelefthandsidemenuhoveroverProjectsandselectAllProjectsnext.5.GotoEdityourproject.AfteryouclickAllProjectsinthepreviousstepyouwillbetransferredtoanewpagethat listsallprojects(students’profiles).YouneedtoscrolldowntofindyournameandthenhoveroverittillyouseetheEditsign,whichyouclicknext.

6.Editthecontentofyourprofile.Usethetexteditortoaddinformationaboutyourself.Youcanaddimages,videos,andusehyperlinksifyouwanttomakeitstandout.

7.Set featured image.Thisisyourprofilepicturethatwillappearinourclassblog(insteadofSanta).ClicktheSetfeaturedimagelinkontherighthandside.ThiswilltakeyoutotheimageuploadsidewhereyousimplydraganddropyourimageandclicktheSetFeaturedImagebuttoninthebottomrightcorner.8.ClickUpdate!Ifyoudon’twanttoloseallyourcontentyou’vejustcreated,makesureyouhittheUpdatebuttonontherighthandside.
