Grace and peace be unto you!.

I cannot tell you how humbled I am to be coming home to pastor this congregation into a new chapter in its long history of serving God and this community. I ask for your prayers as we embark on this transi-tion and our faith journey together.

Every Christian church in virtually every country throughout this world is facing challenges. Taking on such chal-lenges is an important part of growing in our faith and growing our church. The more we can test our and capabili-ties, the more we will learn about where God is leading us.

Always know that God is still with us. God is still near us. And God will continue to guide us.

I want to hear from you. I plan to hold office hours at different times of the day so that I can be as accommodating as possible to sit and talk over a cup of coffee. I want to discuss your hopes, your ideas and your frustrations. Maybe I can encourage you in a time of forgiveness, or a time to rekindled friendships that may have stalled. Let’s take that first step together.

As I looked through the most recent directory I don’t see names of people who are no longer coming to church, I see names of people that I promise to minister to. I will pray for you, invite you back, and visit if you like. I want to make member care a priority. This is part of my role as your pastor.

Hebrews 10:24-25 tells us “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day draw-ing near.”

Beloved, let us be the church that is committed to building each other up. Let’s use uplifting speech with one an-other, speak truth to one another, and act like the family God has intended for us to be. Let’s truly make it a habit to meet together and encourage one another to love and good works, all for the glory of God. I’m in! I hope you can be as well.

Bless you all,

Pastor Mike
