Ratliff-Watkins Volume 7, Issue 1 The 2016 NABS Scholarship Fund Scholars’ Retreat NABS SCHOLARS GATHER AT DELPHI CORPORATION FOR ANOTHER OUTSTANDING RETREAT The National Association of Black Suppliers Scholarship Fund Board presented the 9th Annual Scholars’ Retreat sponsored by Delphi Corporation Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Delphi HQ in Troy, MI. Attendees enjoyed a continental breakfast prior to the beginning of the session. Rhonda Glover, NABSSF Executive Director, coordinated with Delphi to plan and implement the session. He introduced fellow colleagues who also addressed the group and networked one-on-one with our scholars: Michael Couck, Global Manager, Talent and Learning, HR, James Beeler, Sales Account Manager, Ford CBU and Monique Veasley, Senior Category Leader. This year’s speakers and their topics of discussion: Michael Couck, Leadership Development Cassie N. Troy, NABSSF Alumni, Resume Building Victoria Hamilton, Michigan State University Class of 2018, Traveling Abroad Aaron McClendon, Western State University Class of 2017 and Christian Cannon, University of Michigan-Dearborn Class of 2019, College Networking Hacks Chelsea Carter, Kettering Universitiy Class of 2020 Being a Student in the Work Environment. Jeanette M. Abraham, President and CEO JMA Logistics and NABSSF Board Chair delivered Words of Encouragement and introduced the host John E. Taylor, Senior Manager, Supplier Diversity Development, Delphi Global Supply Management. Mr. Taylor welcomed the NABS Scholarship Fund Board and scholars to Delphi, shared highlights of his career which involved 35 years of supply management experience within Purchasing. Recognizing that an investment in our children’s education is an investment in our economy and our future, the NABS Scholarship Fund board works diligently to help young scholars and their families afford the expense of a college education at many of America’s premier institutions of higher learning. NABS SCHOLARS GATHER AT DELPHI CORPORATION FOR ANOTHER OUTSTANDING RETREAT

The National Association of Black Suppliers Scholarship Fund Board presented the 9th Annual Scholars’ Retreat sponsored by Delphi Corporation Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Delphi HQ in Troy, MI. Attendees enjoyed a continental breakfast prior to the beginning of the session.
