BACKGROUND:

Cairo International Airport is attempteing to eliminate the illegal smuggling of cow brians into their country.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

The target audience includes animal rights activists and health concious individuals. These people are in support of the ban on consuption of beef brain. Our audience is politically active and dedicated to spreading the word about this cultural cruelty to Egypt.

OBJECTIVES:

The Cairo International Airport is reaching out to their target audience in hopes to communicate and advocate this case. The objective is to spread information regarding the health risks to the consumers in Egypt, as well as globally, in hopes of eliminating this problem.

OBSTACLES:

Sudan is a struggling country where smugglers can buy the brains for less than $1 a pound. Egyptian restaurants are selling this specialty for nearly $6 a pounds, creating a huge profit in the black market for these Sudanese smugglers.

KEY BENEFIT:

Creating an extensive awareness on animal cruelty.

SUPPORT STATEMENT:

Exposure to contaiminated beef products can cause Creutzfeldt-Jacob disease (CJD), a form of brain damage.Consumption of brain tissue is considered taboo since the mad-cow epedemic.CJD tends to effect younger people.Smugglers sources for brains may be from juvenile cows.

We hope to strike an emotion in our audience that motivates them to advocate.
