After a lot of fun during the Diwali break, the second term commenced with lot of challenges & opportunities for both students & facilitators to handle & prove themselves. Different Inter-House competitions, celebrations, Educational field trips & workshop made the second term joyful & challenging for SV family members. Hindi is the national language of India. So it gets lots of importance in Swaminarayan Vidyapith. In the same way, Gujarati language, being the mother tongue for most of the students, gets an adequate appreciation. L2 Faculty members designed various activities to make the learning of language a meaningful endeavor. Inter-House Slogan writing Competition was held for the students of class X. They composed slogans on ‘Save Water’. Many of the slogans were very suggestive and original. After a lot of fun during the Diwali break, the second term commenced with lot of challenges & opportunities for both students &

facilitators to handle & prove themselves. Different Inter-House competitions, celebrations, Educational field trips & workshop made

the second term joyful & challenging for SV family members.

This is the era of endorsement and commercial advertisement to sell the products in the market. To initiate an interest to promote

their own products, the faculty members designed this competition. The girls took part with great enthusiasm and the outcome was

incredible. They took the topic ‘Beverage’. The girls gave innovative brand names and prepared visuals and jingles to market their

Sanskrit language is the origin of many Indian regional languages and considered to be the most perfect language suitable even in

this era of computer technology. Our ancient Vedic literature which is the basis of Hindu philosophy, religion, medical science,

Indian politics, art and culture are taught in Swaminarayan Vidyapith with great devotion. The girls are trained to enchant Sanskrit

shlokas with great fondness. This time the language faculty organized Inter House Sanskrit Shloka Recitation Competition on

March 5, 2016. The response from girls was overwhelming and they took part with great enthusiasm. The girls showcased their

flair and dedication to attain perfection in recitation and explaining the meaning of the shloka and reached the height of excellence.

The House Prefects took initiative to encourage the participants to keep their morale high throughout the competition.

An Inter House Elocution Competition was organized on 12th December’15 in the school Auditorium for the students of VII & VIII.

There were twenty participants. All the participants performed very well pocketing many points for their respective house.

The budding elocutionists charmed the audience and won the hearts of jury members, Mrs. Monal Yadav and Mrs Vedkumari

Patel and teachers in-charge, Mr. Dipak Sachdev, Mrs. Sipra Chakrabarthy and Mrs. Arpana Modi. The participants displayed

high level of confidence and gave a tough fight to be the winner.

HDH P PP Pramukh Swami Maharaj is the inspirer and mentor of our school, Swaminarayan Vidyapith. The school is enlightened

by His vision, progresses on the path of His mission. It has conceptualized the values and ethos of His philosophy. The school is

not only grooming the girls into sharp and dynamic future citizens but also enlightens them spiritually, intellectually and emotionally.

A week-long cultural programme was held where the girls rendered various melodious and rhythmic ‘bhajans’ to pay tribute to Bapa

and to spread the message of love, peace and harmony. The talent, skill and the creativity were exhibited through the decoration of

the school building and the ‘Rangoli’ made in the Prayer Hall. They choreographed brilliant dance steps on the ‘kirtans’ sung by the

girls. They presented value based skit to highlight the socially acceptable values and behaviour.To make the girls aware of Swami

Bapa’s philanthropic works, power point presentation was shown to them in the auditorium. Special ‘prasad’ was distributed to

commemorate the occasion.

The great Indian Mathematician, Ramanujan’s birthday, 22nd Dec, 1887 was celebrated as Math’s Day in the school. Students were

briefed about the importance of Math in daily life in their classes by their respective Math teachers. An inspiring speech was

delivered by Nupur Vaghasia, student of X B, throwing light on the outstanding contribution by Dr. Shrinivasa Ramanujan. Dulari

Makwana of IX A solved a cube within a minute. Incredible! Students of IV & V were observed fully engrossed and enjoying

Mathematical games like Pumpkin, Dodge Table, Quick Place, Dominos and many more in their classes. Students of VI & VII

surprised the Math teachers by making the framework of 3D shape with the straw. The Math faculty was actively involved in training

the girls for this outstanding presentation.

To commemorate the Republic Day of India, Inter –House –Solo- Patriotic Song Competition was held. There were many

participants. Some of them simply mesmerized the audience with their brilliant presentation. The songs were very suitably

accompanied by the musical instruments played by the girls. There was passion, dedication and commitment. The air was filled

with love and patriotism for the country. The judges expressed their euphoria and appreciated the rendering. The result of the

The 12 standard girls of Swaminarayan Vidyapith went for an educational tour to Pramukh Swami Medical College and Shri Krishna

Hospital, Karamsad. These girls of Science Faculty were accompanied by their Biology Faculty in- charge to get a first-hand –

knowledge about medical education. The sprawling hospital campus impressed them a lot. First of all, they were taken to Anatomy

Museum. There they saw specimens of different human organs and other body parts. The girls were thrilled to see the specimens

of baby - from young embryo to a full grown baby, the inflammated body parts, x-rays and angiography reports. Thus this museum

demonstrated gross anatomy and clinical pathology to students. The students had a realization that though we belong to varied

caste, creed, culture, religion and life style, but from inside we all are same. So instead of beautifying our outer appearances, we

must focus on the purity of our internal organs.

Thereafter, they were taken to Imaging Centre, CT Scan and MRI Departments. The girls had a very fruitful discussion with the

consulting physicians. The doctors explained the difference between the CT Scan and MRI. The medical trip was very informative

for the young girls who are going to be our prospective doctors.

After completion of Summative Assessment -2, the girls required an opportunity for fun and frolic. The girls of class new 9-10 were

taken to Science City and Snow Park in Ahamedabad for a one-day trip. They travelled by luxury buses and were accompanied by

teachers and hostel didis. In Science city, they watched 3D-Movie on ‘Walking on the Moon’, and ‘Hubble Telescope’. It was a

unique experience for the young girls. They had the feel of walking on the moon. By watching the gallery on ‘Hall of Fame’, they

came to know about the life and work of Space Scientists and Astronauts. Being inside the ‘Earthquake Centre’ was a harrowing

experience. In Snow Park, girls had the feel of ‘Being in Antarctica’. The temperature was very low there. The girls had to wear fur

coats, fur caps, woolen gloves, gum boots etc. They played with snow balls and made snow castle. It was an amazing incident.

Afterwards, the girls sat on different rides and had lots of fun. Anyway, the trip was packed with information and excitement.

National Science Day was celebrated by the students under the guidance of Science Faculty members. They presented special

assembly. Girls of Class -9, conducted class wise ‘Science Quiz’. The prefects offered sweets to each participant who answered

correctly. The girls participated with lot of enthusiasm and enjoyed every minute.Girls of class -6 prepared a group song on ‘Water

Cycle’ and displayed their talent and understanding of the concept in a very creative manner.Girls of class-7 prepared and

presented a group song on ‘Photosynthesis’. They prepared ‘colourful props’ to give the concept a lively edge. Dhara Modhvadiya

of class-8B rendered a solo song on ‘Elements’. She mesmerized the audience by her energetic and melodious presentation.

Overall, the programme was both informative and compelling.

The school authorities planned for a week-long workshop after the round of examination conducted throughout the year. The girls

were ready to explore, experiment and examine and learn new skills. Teachers planned meticulously to use their precious time to

teach some very useful Life skills.

S.S. Faculty conducted session on Road Safety. The Government has provided with the Children Books on Road Safety Rules.

The Ministry of Road Transport, and Highway has made ‘Teaching Road Safety Rules’ a part of school curriculum so that the

children will grow up as disciplined sentinels on the road.

With Science faculty, the girls went to visit ‘Science Express Train’. The theme was ‘Climatic Change’. It was a great learning

experience for the students. The teachers who accompanied them thoroughly enjoyed the session.

The girls were trained for ‘glass painting’. The outcome was incredible. They displayed their art pieces and took their glass painting

at home.

Yoga Session was conducted for the girls early in the morning to give them an exposure to healthy living. Some girls are very agile

and brilliant in displaying different posture of yoga. They were having a presentation in front of parents to give them a glimpse of

their activities done in the ‘Workshop’.

Girls had special session for learning ‘music and dance’. They were trained for presenting a cultural programme. Tiny tods of Pre-

primary section and the young girls of class 4 had prepared for prayer dance and the girls of 6th and 7th displayed ‘Bharatnatyam

recital’. Vedkumari madam trained the girls for a skit presentation on the ‘Importance of Girl Child’. The skit touched each parents’

heart and they expressed their euphoria after witnessing the programme.

They were taken to ‘D-Mart’ for shopping. They were given some fixed amount to buy goods for them and their family members.

Some of them purchased gifts for their parents and of their siblings. They thoroughly enjoyed choosing and selecting the things of

their choice.

November – On 23rd November to 30th November we celebrate Children’s day. Our little Barbie’s decorated bulletin board with Cha-

cha Nehru’s Sketch and Barbie’s are enjoying their week by playing with original mud, sitting on a grill, eating on a row… etc.…

On 26th November we celebrate dev Diwali by decorating Tulsi plant. Teach baribe’s how to make garlands for god.

From December 1st to 10th December Barbie’s are doing practice for their Sports day and on 11th December we celebrated sports

day in which RACE, lemon and spoon, tyre race, one minute bottle and bangle game, one minute memory game, donkey race,

kangaroo jump race, long jump, Chocolate and tread game, Searching chocolate from flour by mouth in one minute game, Blind

and touch game, Put on Shoe race games are involved.

On 16th December we celebrate our Barbie Shanaya’s Birthday and on 17th we celebrate Bapas Jayanti. Our Barbie’s decorated

their own puja thali by flowers and do aarti and pujan of Bapa, even we explain in brief about the life of BAPA.

On 24th December we celebrate Christmas Santa clause came and give chocolates to Barbie’s and Barbie’s wear fairy dress. On

this occasion we explain them the importance of saint in one life as Santa clause is a saint and he fulfills the wishes of persons

once in a year where as our saints fulfills our wishes whole year. We explain them the difference between two religions. Barbie’s

made Bhel on cooking day. They learn how to cut the capsicum and tomatoes. They themselves mix all ingredients used in bhel,

they serve that bhel to P.P.Ritesh Bhai and Reverend Sandeep Bhai.

On January 1st we are doing chanting day. The purpose of this day is to digging out her thoughts and visions by randomly talking.

On 4th January they make kites and they learn the shape of the kite with tri color.

On 18th January we celebrate planet day. We made all nine planets and we play planet… planet… each Barbie is one planet and

they walk on its orbit. We taught them a message of discipline. As planets move on its own orbit like that you have to walk on your

own path with discipline.

On 26th we celebrate republic day celebration with the song “Chak de India” and the theme is women empowerment and save girl

child. Bharatmata- Gunjan, Police officer – Kiranbedi- Helly, Army officer – Punita Arora, Lt.General, Shooter- LajjaGoswami-

Krishi, Boxer – Marykom- Harini.

On 5th February we have puppet Show in our pre-primary school. We made hand paper puppets and told moral stories to Barbie’s

and even teach them to play puppet. The two stories are An Elephant and An Ant and A lion and A Rat. While telling them these

stories we explain them the use of articles and teaching them a moral about friendship.

On 8th February we visited Kitchen garden- Motive to know how vegetable grows…

On 29th February we explain Barbie’s the importance of 29th February as a leap year.

On 04th March we organized visits- Motive of the trip is to give them a practical knowledge how to buy tickets, how to wait, where to

wait, how to behave, knowing surroundings, knowing means of communication, difference between land transports.

Visit to Post office – Motive is to explain them the means of communication…..

1st and 2nd standard students purchased post cards, Indian letter, Foreign Letter and stamps their own. All Barbie’s write message

to their mom “I love you Mom” on the post card and we post that post cards in post box. Send the message of women day.

Visit to Railway station – Motive is to explain them from where and how we buy tickets for railway, the longest means of transport,

land transport but runs on track not on road. Even the concept of parallel lines. 2nd std. Barbie took platform tickets for all from ticket
