Edmondson Park is the gateway to Sydney’s South West Growth Centre, which over the next 30 years will see some 300,000 people living in 110,000 new homes. Edmondson Park is one of the best connected new urban developments in Sydney. It is about 45km from the Sydney CBD and 8km from Liverpool CBD. It has a centrally located new bus-rail interchange and easy access to the M5 and M7 motorways.
The Edmondson Park Release Area has a total area of 827 hectares.
Its northern boundary is Camden Valley Way and its southern boundary is the M31 Hume Motorway (M5). The surrounding suburbs are Prestons and Horningsea Park to the north, Glenfield and Ingleburn to the east and south, and the rural residential area of Denham Court to the west.
Key features of the release area are; the new rail station, the Town Centre, several new schools, a 150 hectare regional park, and an extensive open space network.
