2. Course Description   

 The course teaches Entrepreneurial Development Studies as a Covenant University brand of impacting students with entrepreneurial skills.

5. Learning & Teaching  Activities   

 

i. Lecture delivery methods: This will constitute the main teaching method using

PowerPoint presentations, the white board and marker – 50%.

ii. EDS Practical: This run concurrently as the course module delivery, every week, and is

coordinated by the Covenant University Centre for Entrepreneurial and Development

from which grading of student performance in the practical components are collected

for inclusion and collation of students’ final grading – 50%.

iii. Term paper and/or assignments: are given to students as a means of imparting self-

discovery skills – This could be in the Lecture/Theory session or the EDS practical

session.

7.  Alignment to Covenant University Vision/Goal   

 

The study is a Covenant University brand initiation which is presently being adopted from the CU platform for other Universities by the National University Commission (NUC), the study is geared towards Covenant University’s goal of producing graduates who are equipped with current trends and sound in theoretical knowledge of entrepreneurial processes to become employers of Labour instead of job‐seekers.  

 

8.  Industry Relevance  

The  course  has  industrial  applications  which  include  imparting  students  with  innovative  and technopreneurial skills beyond their normal curricular choice or discipline of study.
