White House Lesson Idea(grades 2-6)

First have your students take a tour of the most famous residence in the United States.

After exploring, have them create a floor plan for their favorite room within the White House.

On the back of their floor plan, have your students write a brief passage explaining the room and the purpose it serves to the president

President Lesson Idea (grades 1-6)

Have your children explore this website and pick a president that interest them most.

Have them record 3 uncommon facts in which they did not know about their president.

After editing, have your students re-write their facts on a blank sheet of paper with their presidents head attached
