Mukasa describes his art practice as mainly revolving around “the human figure andthe head reflected in different settings of various colours, semi-abstract surroundingswith an inner light that consolidates the feeling of depth and the fourth dimension of time”.

The artwork is called Six Faces. How many faces are there in the painting?

Imagine a world with only 2 dimensions. Draw a 2-dimensional person. How would they move? How would they eat or speak to other people in this 2D universe?

Ali Akbar Sadeghi creates kaleidoscopes of colour and form derived from Persian culture and folklore, such as those of the Qajar dynasty. His work uses various intricate, decorative motifs.

Fill in the drawing with patterns and details to bring it to life.

Frank Ammerlan’s work creates immersive colour palettes inspired by the natural world. He applies chemical and physical effects to his original material to change its form.

Spend a few minutes looking at the artwork. Come up with 3 adjectives and 2 nouns that you think relate to the image. Create a poem together!

Masood Kamandy photographs easily recognisable, everyday objects and manipulates them to create his own designs and objects.

Draw the shoes you are wearing without looking at the paper... Don’t peek!

Gonzalo Lebrija applies various folds to the artwork to transform the static piece inorder to give it a performative dimension. Similarly the Japanese artform, origami, usesflat pieces of paper to create 3-dimensional shapes and forms.

One would imagine that Amin Montazeri’s work comments on various methods of knowledge transmission and consumption. We have never been as connected as we currently are today. What implications does that reality have?

Imagine a world with no internet. How would your life be different?

Imagine what media would look like 1,000 years from now. What would phones and TVs look like? Would they still exist? Create your own version of Amin’s artwork.
