EducaHon for Sustainable Development (2005-‐2014) and beyond l It’s everyone’s business
l It’s constantly evolving (the old has gone, but sHll here with us; the future is far but right here with us)
l It’s context based, but scalable
l It’s has been (can be) delivered in different forms and at different levels
l It’s to be found in naHonal plans, public awareness campaigns and media coverage
Cont’d l It’s about ciHzens and their leaders
l It’s about change in how we learn, unlearn, and relearn-‐ how we produce knowledge (= power)
l It’s about quality(basic), reorientaHon(curriculums), public understanding and awareness (acHve ciHzenship) and pracHcal training (workforce skills)
l It’s however a sof law (Res. 57/104 of the UNGA,2002-‐ ambiHous but no commitments-‐ …..but we can hold ourselves to account for not allowing ourselves to learn, relearn, and unlearn….there is no end to knowledge
