STUDIES OF PROCESSES Defined as the action part of a society that brings the structures

alive Through the processes of socialization, people learn how to fit

into society and what roles are expected of them Process of stratification: determines where people fit into the

social structure and their resultant lifestyle Change: an ever-present process that constantly forces schools

and other organizations to adjust to new demands Education: takes place formally (in classrooms) and informally
