Educational And Career Journey Of Professor Julio Licinio
Professor Julio Licinio is one of the most renowned Deputy Directors of the Translational Medicine. He is also the leader of the Mind and Brain Theme at South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute. Other than this, he is a Strategic Professor in the University of Flinders of Adelaide, located in the southern part of Australia.
His journey of edification
He completed his education from a number of Universities. A list of the educational institute here follows where he studied:
• University of Bahia-Received his MD
• University of Sao Paolo- Internal Medicine
• University of Chicago- Training of Endocrinology
• Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University- Psychiatry
• Cornell University Medical College- Psychiatry
Other than attending these universities, Licinio has also obtained his fellowship from Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
His career and his researches
Licinio’s work and his researches have made great impact all over the world. His research work has been published as twelve books and 240 papers have also got published. His research generally comprised of the role of leptin that induces the sense of satiety. Along with his group of other scientist, Licinio is the pioneer for discovering the antidepressant value of leptin as well
as its pro-cognitive effects on humans. He has also contributed to the scientific researches of Pharmacogenomics and the role of cytokines.
