In-Focus

Government of Gujarat has replaced JEE with GUJCET for Degree engineering admissions fromyear 2017. Syllabus of both examinations are mostly similar but the style of questioning is quitedifferent. Mainly the material used in preparation for GUJCET is available in conventional formi.e. books. With an intension to make advantages of technology reach to society and to makepreparations of GUJCET more interesting and with a scientific approach, Apps Software and WebDevelopment Center (ASWDC) at Department of Computer Engineering took an initiative anddeveloped mobile application - GUJCET-2017. This App has more than 13000 questions coveringthree subjects viz. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics along with lots of features that helpstudents to prepare for GUJCET examination in an elaborate, systematic yet interesting way.

Design of GUJCET-2017 App became possible because of cumulative efforts of experts at ASWDCand staff and students at the Institute. Help of renowned subject experts from various schools, having vast teaching experience, was taken in preparing question bank for the App. Fewimportant features supported by the App are –

• Supports Android (Lollipop or higher) and iPhone (5s or higher) platforms• Supports both English & Gujarati Languages• 3 Subjects- Maths, Physics & Chemistry• 13000+ Questions• Tracking facility for Chapter wise – Subject wise progress• Customized Practice Test generation by selection of subjects & chapters• Facility of Review, Retest & Resume mode in Practice Test• Mock Test for evaluation• Question wise feedback• Facility to bookmark questions for future reference• User feedback support for continuous improvement
