Dear DCCC Family and Friends,
As a member of the Foundation Board ofDirectors since 2003, I have had the privilege to serve Delaware County Community College in a very visible capacity. My roles as Vice-Chairand Chair have given me the opportunity to speak on behalf of the 30 prominent business and community leaders comprising the Board. As like-minded individuals, we share a
commitment to our community. As Board Members, we recognizethat the College shares this same commitment – development of thecommunity and its residents.
The Foundation plays a specific role in providing financial support forstudents, faculty, programs and facilities. Board Members serve on variouscommittees throughout the year, assisting the Foundation in managing itsenterprise and advancing its noble purpose. Board Members also serve asadvocates for the College within the community, resulting frequently inthe creation of various partnerships of mutual benefit.
Most recently, the Board has focused its energies on the STEM Complex, a $60 million construction project currently underway on the MarpleCampus. Fundraising during an economic downturn has provenchallenging, but we are committed to the success of the campaign.Emphasis continues to be made on the “return on investment” that theSTEM Complex will bring to the region and its positioning of the College as a greater resource than ever before. We look forward to itscompletion in 2010.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our efforts during 2009-10.
Sincerely yours,
Barbara A. DencziDCCC Educational Foundation

Dear Donors,Throughout the past year, we have acknowledged your gifts to theFoundation in support of a multitude of projects. The annual report presentsanother opportunity to express ourappreciation and to document yourgenerosity.
Contributions at $2.2 million during 2009-10 have nearly doubled, due primarily to the Gateway to Opportunity Capital Campaign forthe STEM Complex, which is well underway. Visitors to the MarpleCampus will take immediate notice of the construction of the newcomplex that promises to attract students to challenging academicprograms in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Despite the strong interest and support for this project, fundraisingefforts are proceeding at a slow pace due to the economy. Yet, we arepleased to be able to list a great numbers of individuals, corporationsand foundations that have been able to pledge or contribute thus far. With more than half of our goal realized, we remain optimistic that the economy soon will recover and that our constituents will be able to support this major initiative.
The Foundation's annual Dollars for Scholars Dinner continues topresent the perfect opportunity to applaud both donors and studentsalike. Thanks to the donors of our 100 scholarships, the College isbetter able to recruit and retain talented students who rely more thanever before upon financial assistance. We are grateful also for the 13 awards that recognize outstanding performance by students, faculty, alumni and staff. Inspired by the generosity of its donors, the Foundation has added resources to expand both the scholarshipand award programs.
Once again, thank you to the individuals, corporations, foundationsand organizations that support us in so many ways each year. Yourinvestment in the Foundation's mission is rewarding and encouragingto the entire DCCC family.
Sincerely,
Kathleen A. BreslinExecutive Director
