Local, national & international opportunities for SSU students & graduates • Launched 19th January 2016 • Web address: graduatejobs.solent.ac.uk • 1263 jobs, 185 placements • 2905 employers, 3660 candidates • 910 CVs uploaded. 21 courses were supported to undergo a detailed curriculum review including the negotiation of Course Employability Development Plans. • Placement Festival October 2015 – 15 businesses and 100 students • Placement Festival February 2016 – 20 businesses and 99 students • Leavers’ Conference March 2016 – 17 businesses and 50 students • Charities Fair – 21 charities and more than 60 students • Saudi Arabian Conference – 4 presenters and 45 students • Graduate Scheme Bootcamp October 2015 – 6 businesses and 68 students. Supported employability weeks by delivering ESE tests, LinkedIn talks, psychometric testing and assessment centre sessions • 800+ students attended placement workshops • 75 ESE tests delivered • Presentations to SMEs and large organisations. • 52 students attended 1-2-1 intensive business start-up meetings • 4 entrepreneur funding panels where 39 businesses pitched and 29 were funded • 17 Enterprise workshops facilitated with 258 attendees • 4 Enterprise bootcamps with 58 attendees • 12 projects on LaunchPad, SSU’s crowdfunding platform • Amount funded by SSU: £11,500 • Amount funded by students: £7,118. • 90 professional mentors • 47 organisations • 150+ mentees • 64 peer mentors trained. • 27903 student views • 2273 registered users • Redevelopment to online learning resource underway. • 330 careers guidance appointments attended • Rating of 8/10 for usefulness • 1100+ students helped at the drop-in desk in the library • 99% satisfied or very satisfied with support received.
