Approach Results Summary & Conclusion Next Steps

In response to rising pollution levels, we envisioned a device that could measure pollutants while also being carried around effortlessly throughout the day.Using specially dyed cotton threads, we developed an attractive and low cost sensor array on a patch. ◆Chlorine

◆Dimethylamine ◆Flourine◆Hydrogen chloride◆Methylamine◆Nitrogen dioxide◆Trimethylamine

We accomplished making: a woven patch, an embroidered patch, multiple prototypes, a User Interface for the app, working image color processing, and a list of some identifiable toxic chemicals with this array:

We learned about sewing machines, product development, environmental exposures, user interfacing, app coding, and project design.

Due to the unforeseen pandemic, we were unable to continue working on testing and developing patches.

The next steps include finalizing the app, advancing patch design, patch bio-friendliness testing, customer interviews, calibrating the patch sensing
