    1.2 Guidelines and Topics for

    Group Project Report

    General Guidelines for forming a Group areindicated below. Students are requested toselect at least two topics (indicating firstpreference and second preference) from thelist given below and form their own group.

    After forming a Group and selecting thetopics, Group Leader is requested to informthe composition of the Group and theselected Topics by the end of November2008 to the Resource Person ProfessorTarun Das through EMAIL at the followingaddress:

    1.3 Guidelines and Topics forGroup Project Report

    In order to avoid the possibility of duplications and to ensure theinvolvement of every student in the GroupProject Reports, the proposals will beexamined by the Resource Person.

    On receiving the approval from theResource Person, students should startwork immediately on the Group ProjectReport so that the Report is ready in time.

    The Time Schedule for the preparation of

    the presentation of the report is indicatedin the next slide.

    2.1 Time Schedule

    1.30th Nov 2008: Form the groups as per

    general guidelines, select at least two topics(indicating the first and second Preference)from the List of Topics and inform theResource Person at the [email protected]

    2.3rd Dec 2008: Approval by theResource Person.

    3. 9th January 2008: Submission of theGroup Project Reports to the ResourcePerson through EMAILat the [email protected] and alsosubmitting one hard copy.

    4.16th-17th Jan 2008: Presentation ofthe Reports in the Class.

    2.2Important Instruction

    Students should followstrictly the time schedule.

    Reports submitted after the

    dead lines will not beconsidered.

    Rewards in terms of marks

    may be given to the Groupswho submit their reportswell in advance.

    3.1 General Guidelines

    A Project Team will be led by a ProjectLeader and two Joint Project Leaders. A Team should not consist of more than

    12 members including the Project Leaderand two joint Project Leaders.

    Members should belong to any of theSections-A and C (i.e. either A or B orboth).

    A group can select any topic from the list

    given below. However, the selected topic and thecomposition of the Group will be finalizedafter the approval by the Resource Person.

    3.2 General Guidelines

    Students are free to join any teamthey like subject to above conditions.

    For practical purpose, Team Leaders

    will take the initiative to choose aparticular project topic and select themembers who are willing to work onthe topic.
