MMDA Mercy Mission

For the period of 9-28 November, MMDAdeployed 309 MMDA technical and non-technical personnel composed of engineers,

drivers, machine operators, electricians,medical personnel, street sweepers, andlaborers.



MMDA Mercy Mission

Objectives:To clear the affected area of debris toensure safe movement of residentsand emergency response units andfacilitate speedy recovery from thedisaster.To support provision of other relatedservices required by the LocalGovernment and the victims ofTyphoon “YOLANDA .”

Focus of InterventionClearing of the Capitol (seat ofProvincial Government), publicmarkets, and downtown



MMDA Mercy Mission

The MMDA team also brought equipment foroperations (payloader, dump & tow truck,buses, ambulance, etc.) and other logistical

provisions, such as medicines, tents, fuels,generator set, etc.



MMDA Tent Cities

MMDA also established „Tent Cities‟ to shelter

typhoon survivors in Basey and Guiuan,Samar as well as in Tanauan, Leyte.



MMDRRMC Convened a SpecialMeeting (13 November 2013)

The Metro Manila Disaster Risk Reduction andManagement Council convened a specialmeeting and passed two (2) resolutions

concerning efforts to help LGUs affected SuperTyphoon Yolanda.

Form A - Critical infrastructure assessment (i.e.schools, offices, facilities, etc.)Form B - Non-infrastructure assessment (i.e.population affected, migration, etc.)
