Main features of ES-2000

•The ES-2000 is a single hand-held device that accommodates multiple measurement conditions meeting current and emerging ISO standards for imaging workflows (all characterization data will be M1 based in future).

•Smaller patch sizes when scanning allows for more patches per chart, use of smaller process control wedges and more data points per sheet, resulting in higher profile accuracy, faster measurements and savings on consumables.

•The filterless dual scan technology enables the ability to provide multiple measurement conditions through the combination of the device’s two light sources (tungsten and UV LED).

•Te patch detectiion enables more robust scanning, even on critical substrates or low resolution prints, removing virtually all user errors, requiring less operator skills. This technology also enables the ability to measure M1 and M2 conditions.

•Full floating guide maintains an equal measurement distance from substrate to instrument nose provides more accurate measurements – especially on uneven substrates like corrugated board.

•Aluminum ruler with solvent ink resistance provides increased ability to color control and color manage solvent ink printers.

•Higher scanning measurement speed allows for use of smaller patches and more data points per patch, resulting in higher profile accuracy and faster measurements.

•Supports LCD displays with high luminance backlight technology.•Adaptive integration allows best possible performance in display profiling – avoid drift due to temperature change of

the device during longer display measurement cycles.•The temperature drift compensation reduces noise to attain better accuracy for measurements on dark patches.•XRGA (X-Rite Graphic Arts) is a device standard that removes discrepancies across different measurement technolo-

gies and creates efficiencies in color measurement and communication procedures.• Instrument can automatically self diagnose and correct for small shifts as well as identify recalibration needs.•Larger white tile area ensures measurement accuracy and makes cleaning very easy; protective cover minimizes

dust and dirt interference.•Removable optics protection glass makes it easy for user to clean, minimizing dust and dirt interference.•Visual indicators indicate calibration and service status of the device.•The power from the USB port is monitored to ensure that adequate power is delivered from computer USB port to

your ES-2000 device, so you can be confident your device is functioning properly.• Improved temperature stability – the aluminum frame works as heat sink providing best possible performance in

display and projector profiling and adds stable connection between instrument and accessories.•Visual indicators guides the user through the measurement process and indicates status of the device.•The compatibility mode allows using your ES-2000 device in M0 mode with any software that supports the original

first generation ES-1000/X-Rite i1 Pro spectrophotometer, offering same functions you previously had access to - like in Fiery eXpress 4.5.4.

•Removable aluminum ruler makes it easy to measure media wedges; back-up board provides white background and holds test chart in place for scanning.

Measurement Modes

•M0 Tungsten lightsource with no filter - Standard measurement mode of all spectrophotemeters•M1 D50 lightsource (includes the same amount of UV-light like the D50 standard light condition)•M2 UVcut mode (cuts off all UV-light)

Using ES-2000 with Fiery XF and Fiery eXpress

•Fiery XF Version 5 supports the ES-2000 natively with all three modes (M0, M1 and M2)•Older Fiery XF/Colorproof XF versions can run the ES-2000 in M0 compatibility mode only•Fiery eXpress (like any other ES-1000 supporting application) can run the ES-2000 in M0 compatibility mode only•Note: Fiery XF Version 5 and eXpress 4.5.4 make use of XRGA for all EFI or X-Rite devices. This can lead into

measurement deviations with older non-XRGA software
