As you might have realised from the title, this is not a regular EYP Ses-sion Paper. This is basically a Sur-vival Kit that you can use throughout the session. This paper is not just supposed to be read, but is waiting to be filled with your content!

Apart from useful tips on how to make the most of your time in Pode-brady, you will find a lot of tasks and challenges to be completed before the session ends.

These aim at entertaining and in-forming you, as well as bringing you closer to your fellow delegates, but also come with another perk: the delegate who can complete all tasks and fill the blank spaces in the issue the fastest will be knighted and become an honorable member of the Royal Court of the ses-sion.

To help you to release stress, there will also be imperatives to harm the material that this piece of art is printed on. Please, do not hesitate! The quality of our work depends en-tirely on your participation, which is why we decided to make this survival kit as interactive as possible. And to start you off right at this page, here comes the first task:

During breakfast or coffee break, pour some coffee over this page (but only over this one page, for now!). Enjoy!

We, the Media Team of the Euro-pean Forum Podebrady 2014, wish you an enjoyable session that you will hopefully remember for a long

time.

We need to talkaboUt george

How much do you know about our session monarch?

“He wanted peace but the Pope hated

the guy.”

“Really great guy, so selfless, kind, sweet, a true giver, so noble and gallant. Too bad he died like 500 years ago.”

“I have no idea, we were taking selfies during the Mayor’s speech” [We strongly disapprove of this - Editorial Team]

“So protestant guy. Or was he Christian?

He could be both.”

1. Always be on time, late delegates are so not done. Punctuality is the polite-

ness of Kings you know.

2.Two words: sleep deprivation. You will never hear an EYP’er say that they got

a good and long night’s sleep. One does not simply walk around well rested here. For one week, coffee is truly one of our dearest friends.

3. Fear not General Assembly. It is a po-litical game of thrones. One of the

main purposes here is to find fellow survivors (friends could work as well), yet appreciat-ing your enemies during the heat of a debate. Kings and queens of Podebrady, find your in-ner John Snow or Daenerys Targaryen and conquer them all. Valar morghulis.

4. We all love a typical delicious hotel breakfast, the mouth-watering buf-

fet that reaches far beyond what your eyes can see: slices of bread, butter and jam, chocolate spread, sandwiches, cheese, meat, rolls, pas-tries, cereal, juices, fruit, several hot beverages etc. So why not enjoy it all day? Make your so-called ‘doggy bag’ to get through the day. Need a snack? Chow down that tasty croissant you stole at breakfast. Trust me, instant happiness right there.

Keeping the above mentioned tips and tricks in mind, they’ll be worth your

while to follow in order to waltz your way through the session.

Should you end up in a sticky situation by following the above, approaching

the Fixer (aka Crisis Manager) as a last resort will be sure to rectify any awkward encounters you may experience.

On this page, we have prepared some suggestions for you. All you need to do is cut out the sentences and give them to people you would like to compliment. Do not be

shy and let the flattering begin!

CoMplete the doodleCreate your own King! King George of Podebrady has lost his body and power of speech, so take a pen and finish off the doodle. Be as imginative as you can

be! What is he wearing? Is he at the session? Most importantly - what is he saying?

the knight’s ChallengeGarner ye admission unto ye royal court of ye old Podebray session by most ver-

ily achieving yon tasks underwritten! Fare thee well, brave sir/miss knight!

1. Get a compliment from Hans.

2. Beat someone at a game of arm wrestling and let the loser give his signa-ture as proof.

3. Ask someone about their most awkward moment and write down the story here.

4. Ask someone for their favourite foreign word.

5. Write someone a love letter and give it to them in a very romantic way (again we need some kind of proof).

6. Ask someone how they see themselves in 10 years.

7. Write a story about someone in six words. Read it to them.

Show them no quarter, young squire! I too have lost a brother to these fiends; in-struct them in incomparable suffering!

Missing the artiCles? How about you write one yourself? You might be surprised about not having found any regular EYP articles in this session paper. That was a deliberate decision, BUT: we would like you to have the chance to step in our shoes and take over the writing yourself. So, get out a pen, gather your creative energy and write a short article fea-

turing the following keywords:

- unicorn- Head-Organisers- Common Foreign und Security Policy- traffic jam- tortilla

Do the most well-known prejudices about the habits in different European nations and their citizens make sense? We did a survey to figure it out. To quantify the prejudices and to compare them with the habits of the people actually present at EFO14, we took the Atlas of Prejudices as a solid baseline.

Peter and Hannes give us the low-down.
