Going Global: How to create the next great digital health solution.
Dr. Michelle Longmire, CEO of Medable, will talk about the challenges facing digital health and how and why successful companies need to create consumer-facing, clinically-tested, and interoperable solutions to become globally successful. Given that much of the growth in mHealth will be outside the United States (Europe is forecasted as the largest mHealth market), developers will need to adhere to U.S. (HIPAA) and European Commission (GDPR) regulations to avoid fines and create truly global solutions in the highly regulated healthcare market. Dr. Longmire will provide a step-by-step pathway to success, demonstrate the best cloud-based tools, and answer questions about global regulation.

Data Analytics: Structuring Information for Decision-Making
Moderated by Aline Noizet - Health 2.0
BIG data has made many recent headlines. Streamlined clinical processes, accelerated research and development, value-based healthcare implementations: the promises are huge for improving clinical and financial outcomes. And in many cases it also provides an answer to the question: “who will pay for Health 2.0 solutions?”. However, BIG is too often synonymous of “useless”. This session focuses on open, smart and actionable data and showcases technologies that structure information for decision-making.
Findings from the Ipsos 1st Global Connected Health Survey
Ipsos Healthcare will be presenting findings from the 1st Global Connected Health Survey, which will include contribution from Ipsos’ Centre of Excellence for Ethnography. The survey studies how connected health technology is incorporated into people’s daily lives, with particular reference to Type 2 Diabetes as a case study. This report aims to advance how patients, physicians, practitioners and hospitals can use new health technology and devices to share information, inform diagnoses and improve medical treatments.

"SHUSH Topics" and the Infamous Unmentionables
Moderated by Pascal Lardier - Health 2.0
We all know what we need to do to lead a healthier life: stop smoking, drink (red wine) with moderation, follow a balanced diet, increase our exercise, manage our stress… So why are we not all following these recommendations? Because life gets in the way of our good intentions in the shape of “umentionables”: caring for a loved one, being in a bad relationship, facing a difficult job situation, desperately trying to get pregnant... This session factors these situations in a more holistic conversation about our health and showcases solutions that help us counter these “unmentionables”.
