The reception is the first welcome point for visitors and those who call the School. It is also where mail is received and dispatched.

During opening hours, you can use the fax machine, find out about bus schedules or order a taxi.

They also sell small necessities, such as stamps, adapters, phone cards and EHL souvenirs.

If you do not mention your academic year/section/program and keep it UPDATED, you risk not receiving your mail as all incoming mail is physically sorted at Reception and distributed to the students pigeonholes (building M, first floor) Monday to Friday anytime after 12:00. You will receive an e-mail from Reception if there is a package waiting for you.BE AWARE: You do NOT receive your mail at EHL while on internship!

Note that there are different schedules for weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays & public holidays.

There is no service for food on weekends in School. Here are some options that are available to you:

Restaurant Vert-Bois located behind the Gymnasium along the route de Berne, this is the most convenient option for food over the weekend if you do not have much time. Special deals are available, as well as a take-away service.

Lausanne youll find that there are loads of different restaurants in town, why not go for a quick walk around the city.

Epalinges the nearest town is only a bus ride away. You can buy food at the supermarket or eat at one of the restaurants.

EHL is open during summer and winter holidays (with the exception of the Christmas period). During the breaks, there is limited F&B service and offices have adapted opening hours.

Your student card is your on-campus identification and should be with you at all times.

It allows entry into School buildings, payment for Food and Beverage, printing and photocopy machines. You can add money to your card at the Service Centre or through myEHL.

If you lose your cardyou can order a new one at the Service Centre for CHF 30.-.

Dress code is in effect for all students (when not in service or kitchen uniforms), faculty and staff from 7:00 to 19:15, Monday to Friday. There is no dress code on weekends unless otherwise notified.

Phone card and credit card operated public telephones are on the main floor of each studio building.

Internal phones can be found on each floor near the stairs/elevator (external calls shall be made by dialling 0 first with phone cards). These cards (for public and mobile phones) are on sale at Reception.

Lockers are available, free of charge, on a first come first served basis. Be courteous enough to leave the priority to people who dont live on campus.

MyEHL is the interactive portal of the Ecole Htelire de Lausanne and provides a social media platform to all EHL students, faculty and staff members.

The E-Service Desk is an internet platform that answers to all your requests towards the services of the School (IT, Finance, Administration, Service Centre, Technical Service, booking a classroom).This platform works like a concierge. You may leave your requests at a central point at any time of the day.

Thanks to EHLs state of the art information technology infrastructure, students have wireless connection throughout EHLs campus and access to the EHL network from around the world.

This is the place to go if you need computer assistance, advice or software updates. The Printshop is also at your disposal in this office.

Printers are located throughout the School. You must be connected to the EHL network and the printer drivers must be installed on your computer in order to print.

To complete the counselling team, the CPCs will stay on campus in order to give assistance, counselling and advice to any individual EHL student.

CPCs also work toward prevention, organize activities on Campus and promote the EHL Spirit.

EHLs School nurse provides primary and acute care to the EHL community and promotes a safe, secure and healthy environment on campus; her office is located in building M, first floor. On evenings and weekends, the School nurses role is passed on to the team 1222 (24h Service).
