Undergraduate provisionin the Department of Media
This guide has been prepared for all year one undergraduate studentsstudying in the Department of Media. It includes important informationregarding the schedule of activities that have been planned to welcomeyou to Edge Hill University, and particularly to the Department ofMedia.
The Department is located in the CMIST building (Creative Media,Information Systems and Technology) on the Western Campus, to theright of the University Library.
During your induction week you will receive all the information you needin relation to your academic timetable, student responsibilities and theyear ahead. It is most important that you attend the schedule of meetingswhich are outlined in this guide, starting with the first meeting onMonday 19 September 2011 at 2.00pm in W1 (Wilson Centre). Pleasenote: if you are a joint honours student attend the session for Media onTuesday afternoon at 1.00pm in M49.
In addition, as well as the Freshers’ Fair, there are meetings for studentfinance, student services and a drop-in session for advice on disabledstudents allowance.
We hope that you find the 2011-12 academic year a challenging,rewarding and enjoyable experience, and if you need any furtherinformation in relation to your induction period, please contact yourprogramme leader or administrative staff for further assistance.
