There’s nothing like taking old traditions and recreating them with the people in our lives. Come join us, CASA - Cuban American Student Association, in an afternoon of great company, salsa dancing and delicious free food. We will be having an authentic Cuban cook out with lechón asado (roasted pig), congri, yuca, etc. The food will be served at a first come, first serve basis and beverages will be available. Welcome back fellow Gators!We hope that you had a winter break filled with new memories, great company, as well as a holiday season that was filled with joy that extended over to the new year.

With the new year, we have a chance to start anew. Mistakes from the past can be corrected, catching up with forgotten old friends and loved ones is within reach, and attending all of your classes is just as good a resolution as any.

The Hispanic Student Association has lots in store for you this semester. Spring 2014 is a new opportunity for you to get further involved with HSA and to help carry out our purpose to promote our culture, traditions, and passion throughout the University of Florida campus.

We have a few advances for HSA for the spring. We have structured our general body meetings to help you better understand HSA’s mission, while getting to know you and your culture better. We also have a great HSA week planned for you later in the Spring semester. HSA Week 2014 will be one to remember, and we want you to be part of it. So stay tuned for more announcements!

We will also have programs designed to help you navigate UF’s resources, to grow professionally and to explore what it truly means to be a Latin Gator.

Just as you may have made a resolution to improve, so have we. There are a few things that we have to work on and want you to be part of our growth. We are always eager to hear your feedback, so just reach out to us!
