The first round the world tour celebrates 500 years.

In 1519, two hundred and thirty-nine men and five ships

left Seville in search of a western route to the Moluccan

Islands, known for their wealth of species. Three years

later, eighteen men and Nao Victoria returned after having

completed this historic milestone.

Endeavour, sacrifice and perseverance are part of the

values that kept the crew together, fighting unceasingly day

after day. InterContinental Madrid has a committed team,

which likewise works every day to offer unique and

memorable experiences. This is why we pay tribute to this

fascinating story.
